Well looks like Houston is going big considering they shipped away Christian wood for a bunch of junk and late pick.Dallas is acquiring Christian Wood from Houston and sending the No. 26 overall pick to the Rockets, along with multiple players, sources said. https://t.co/fbxxAL7OGu

Who are the players I wonder? That takes another team potentially out of the running for Holmes.
Burke, Criss, Brown, and Boban.
Portends a soft market for Holmes and Houston not taking Ivey. Not great for the Kings.
Yeah, this really puts a damper with like any deal we were hoping for with CHA. The pick, PJ, Oubre, etc. I think them agreeing to a Cody Martin S&T is kind of our best option there.
Not losing hope for Kleber though. DAL has Powell, Kleber, Wood all heading for their UFA year and they won't have much cap space to manuever to keep all of them with Luka becoming expensive and Wood likely commanding 15+mil. Holmes still works incredibly well with Luka and they could get some long-term security with him on board.

That seems fair value to me. Thought Wood’s numbers were inflated. I also think Holmes, at best, nets a late first. At best. Maybe early second as fair value.
Could they be making room for one of the top 3 bigs ?
Their only remaining tradeable asset is Luka.Could they be making room for one of the top 3 bigs ?

ESPN Sources: Kenny Atkinson has decided he won’t become the Charlotte Hornets’ head coach and will remain with Golden State as top assistant. After being offered job during the NBA Finals, further conversations led Atkinson to believe it would be best to remain with Warriors.

Atkinson goes full McDaniels

I’m still not thrilled with Brown, but at least he didn’t pull this nonsense.
This was so destined to happen to us if he interviewed with us. I guess it’s better to let us know right away instead of being strung along.Atkinson goes full McDaniels

I think James Harden deserves at least some blame here toothe main culprit here is Kyrie. He burns bridges wherever he ends up.
