If I’m not mistaken, the NBA cup championship stats did not count.
It doesn't count as a regular season game like all the others but it certainly wasn't a preseason or exhibition.

The way this is unfolding, I might have to move it to the wrestling thread.
I don't know why but last night I assumed that all this happened at a Pacers home game and not Milwaukee's, which makes the whole thing even more beyond belief to me. Away team, blown out, on what was a historical night for a HOF caliber player. If that ball isn't going to Giannis it's sitting in the Bucks team museum somewhere.
Maybe Pacers should have requested the reserve ball going in for the free throws? Or maybe Giannis can drop 70 next time they play the Pacers and gift Tshiebwe the no longer record setting ball?

I think they were just doing it because the FT against the Lakers didn't technically count as an official NBA point.
So, tensions rise between Indiana and Milwaukee, and the Pacers' first response is to sign Bushido Brown.
