NBA Combine Interviews

Actually, Flynn and Curry are both there somewhere. DraftExpress has a page with about 20 videos embedded, but it's so huge it clogs my computer so I'm not going to go find the link.

Seriously, it takes like four minutes to close the page once I open it. So go find it at your own risk. (Maybe I need a new computer?)

I watched everyone last night. You need more megs of ram or a faster processer. I didn't have a problem at all. The only one that I didn't see there was Flynn. He may have been added by now. I haven't checked it out today yet.

The interviews are interesting and, perhaps a little imformative. In some cases you get to see how a player views himself. For instance, I felt a little better about Mullens after watching his interview. No particular reason I can give, other than his demeanor and body language were more appealing.

I loved the interview with Curry. He just drips with confidence. He doesn't talk about what he hopes to bring. He talks about what he will bring. He's one of those guys that you know is going to score. If he can become a good playmaker as well, then your looking at a star.

I won't critique the whole thing, but Evans was interesting. He only refered to himself as a shooting guard for the most part. Somewhat disappointing if your looking at him as a point guard. His only reference to playing the point was that he is best when the ball is in his hands. That he can handle the ball and help make plays for his teammates. As an overall player, shooting aside, there's not much to dislike about him.

I'm watching Gani Lawal right now and it looks like he didn't get enough sleep. Lawal's standing reach concerns me quite a bit.

I also liked Mullens' interview, he seemed very comfortable and easy going. Maybe his easy-goingness (blech) gets confused for a lack of intensity, who knows.

I really want Terrence Williams. Why did his stock have to go up so much?

I really like Curry as well, I still can't say with confidence that I want the Kings to get him, but I think he's going to be a good player.

Mills easily won me over with his accent ;)

Williams is a freak athlete. I can't wait to see his vertical. He was the only one I saw other than Griffin that came close to the top bar, and he's considerablely shorter than Griffin. I think he can be a defensive stopper in the league.

Mills was one of the quickest players there in the drills. His shot wasn't dropping for him but he looked good shooting the ball. Curry, whether he's a point guard or not, is someone that will probably be able to contibute right away. I've never seen a better looking shot. Ellington was the only other player that looked close to Curry when shooting the ball.

I'd like to get Williams, I think he has the whole package (er, besides shooting haha).

Will bring the D and rebounding, seems to be a good passer too.

I doubt he's there at 23 though, not in this draft.

Tell me about it. You buying? ;) Anyway, I did suffer through it and watched them all.

Maybe they didn't have Flynn and I was remembering a different interview, I'm not sure.

Agreed on Mullens and Curry. I liked Curry before, didn't expect I'd like Mullens but I did. Obviously interviews don't tell anything about their game, just sort of give you an idea of how they think.

Just from my point of view, the guys who I liked in the interviews were: Blair, Casspi, Curry, Daye, Ellington, Henderson, Holiday, Lawal, Mills, Mullens, Teague.

Yeah, I would pretty much agree with that. Those were my favorites too. I've seen interviews with Harden before and he always seemed very laid back. In this one he seemed a little edgey and perhaps uncomfortable. Ellington came across as very mature and likeable. The dude can really shoot the ball. He's another one I would look at if he's there at 23..

I think you have to draft Mills just for the accent. Aye, don't ya think mate?

LOL, and his speed alone! I am a HUGE fan of his.

I heard Sam Amick on the rise guys show say "don't be surprised if the Kings pick 2 point guards".

I guess that means Rubio and Mills????? Maloofs can pimp that shizz. (crosses fingers)

i really wouldnt mind picking up rubio and mills. then somehow get rid of beno by the trade deadline if they both pick up the nba game fast. the thing for me is, the amount of time/picks between the 23 and the 31. i would love to get him at the 31 pick, but dont know if he'd still be there if we pass on him at the 23. if we somehow get rubio, id rather go for another position with our 23rd pick like ellington or williams to back up martin, or mullens or lawal to deepen our front court

Harden seemed kind of defensive.

Didn't like Casspi's interview. Seemed arrogant. He is supposed to have some character issues, and he did nothing to disspell that notion in his interview.

Still love Terrence Williams. Would love to nab him. As well as being a funny guy and a great leader, I actually think he'll develop into an excellent player. He's a SG/SF, great athlete, pounds the boards, and can really pass the ball (5 assists for a SG in college is astonishing). He loves to defend, too, and he's intense. I guess the only thing bad about his game is that he's not a very good shooter.

I liked Teague's interview. Didn't like Evans so much.

I also think Curry would be a fine pick. He's more athletic than he looks and he's got passing skills. We all know about the shooting. He could be deadly at the pick'n'roll with a good big.

I don't think he's arrogant, I just think he's european..:)

Dude, you do realise that I'm European, don't you?!:D

I like Casspi as a player, but there are character issues there. I'd be fine with taking him, but I have my worries about his locker-room presence.
