Clips went 22-3 without CP3 with our very own DC and Blake leading the charge, IF there was a trade that we could get fair value this is it your not getting back better than Griffin for DMC unless you land a #1 pick who is a game changer.

I'm not implying that Blake Griffin isn't a good player. Just making the point that the Clippers have enough to win with or without him. To your point, they obviously had/have enough talent and coaching to win without Chris Paul too. If the Kings ever had enough talent and coaching to win without DeMarcus, nobody would be questioning whether he is a winner or not -- which is actually the most ignorant and ridiculous notion I've ever heard on this message board.

Here's another question that could be answered the same way: Would you trade Grant Napear for Tommy Heinsohn?

They took advantage of a soft schedule and couldn't have had Blake out at a better time. I don't know what their record is now without him, but when they were 11-3 at one point, i think only two teams they played were above .500 or something silly like that.
Not saying I'd do the deal (because f Blake Griffin), but this in the right ball-park as far as return talent. Blake is absolutely a top 10 player and has become a complete player on both ends.

Grant is an idiot for mentioning a trade on Twitter and his show. But it is a perimeter game right now and will continue to be do until a big man comes along that is good enough. That big man could be cousins, he certainly has the raw talent. But he needs to play smart and humble himself and rally the team around him with a positive attitude. If that happens, we don't need a perimeter game

Again, as I have challenged before, what is this magical "perimeter game right now" supposed to be?
As best as I can tell there are basically two halves to basketball. There is offense. There is defense. Offensively we are the 3rd highest scoring team in the league, and about the 9th or 10th most efficient offense in the league. Better than many a perimeter team. Defensively we suck.
So if we were built around a perimeter guy...what exactly would magically happen? Our DEFENSE would improve? Is that what James Harden or Dame Lillard does for you? Or is every perimeter team automatically now equated with the Warriors, so we'd score 115?

Grant Napear is a tool. I originally wrote out a much longer and more ornate sentence than that, but tool will suffice. Had I the money, and who knows maybe one day I will, I would purchase KFBK, do a welcome the new owner interview with Grant, and humiliate him as I fired his ass, on air. Then I'd take some congratulatory callers.

Really, after how he defended the Magoofs when they were trying to move the Kings and the way he rips the Kings players he doesn't like is just pathetic.
From a PR standpoint, I have never seen a team employ a commentator that repeatedly attacks their players in public.

How do they know who listens, how many people tune in regularly? For me it's once in a blue moon. No one has ever called me to ask, do you listen to KHTK? Tune into Grant Napear show? Not once in 20+ years he's been blathering on local radio waves. Napear brags all the time about how his show is soooo highly rated. If he's that great how come much bigger markets in Bay Area, LA, back east have not offered can't turn down big bucks to go like they always do for top local TV and radio talent out of backwater Sactown. And if someone says they have offered and he turned it down I highly doubt it. My view partially due to his grubby personality where for years when interviewing "buddy" Brad Miller he would constantly make joke about Brad's salary or riches like Napear was fanatically jealous - which he obviously was. Such foolishness and has gall to trash DMC as unprofessional loser.

Yes, yes, and yes, and crap, and it's sad, and I want Grant gone, at least from the radio.
Can you IMAGINE the insanity if DMC punched a member of the kings training staff once, then followed him outside, and punched him again? I mean... wow. What would grant say? And he wants to trade Boogie for the guy that did that.
And damn right it's wrong. We pay the guy's salary!! The polar opposite is Kruk and Kuip. They create such a positive atmosphere of respect towards the players, respect towards the fans, (yet are still objective and honest) and the fans pick up on that, and I think they significantly contribute to the positive vibe around the Giants, and yes, I believe, the magic that propelled them to three World Series championships.
Grant complains about the troubles this team faces, yet never in a million years would he take any responsibility for contributing to the negativity this team experiences stemming from the incessant slandering he heaps not only on player after player (DMC being his current favorite target), but any FAN who disagrees with him on his show. He's a narcissist in the extreme that makes his money by sowing negativity and appealing to very primitive motivations in people. HE, much more than Cousins, is what's wrong with this franchise.

I don't think the term “perimeter league“ is accurate. It's a pick&roll and spacing league. Most successful teams built their offense around those two variables.
Right now it's not a “back to the basket“ or “isolation play“ league and I think, that's what Grant wanted to say.
Now we are a very good offensive team, so I agree with Brick, that we should mainly worry about the defensive side of the court. But our offense is that good, because we run and score quickly. When we are forced into the halfcourt, our efficiency drops and the amount of forced shots and TO's goes up. That of course leaves us with problems on the defensive end too, like transition defense, where we absolutely suck.
So yes - our style of offense is related to our defensive problems to some degree.

He is not a classic center, who needs to play underneath the basket. In fact I think he posesses the best perimeter skillset out of all big guys right now, which is why he is so difficult to defend.

No one move will fix the Kings significantly aside from possibly a coaching change, which still has no guarantees. The problem is how we're going to get those moves without giving up any player of value. For now we probably have to downgrade at some positions in order to upgrade at others.

Not as a Kings fan, but a fan of Cousins, I'd love to see him somehow end up on Cleveland. He's everything they need and want. Cuz 3 point shooting has really made him an interesting piece.
