What happened with fat joe and g unit? I heard it got heated. I went to watch 40 yr old virgin and missed the rest of the show.

I didn't watch last night's event, but then again, it will be replayed ad nauseum if I ever get the urge to check it out.

MTV definitely knows how to put on a show, there's no doubt about that. The VMA's always seem to be entertaining. I'm not really sure why I had no interest in this year's event. I suppose it is because MTV rarely shows videos anymore, so the idea of an awards show has become more strange in the last few years.

I don't want to go on an anti-MTV rant (I certainly could) so I'll just finish with this. The impact that the VMA's and MTV movie awards has had is enormous, at least in terms of other award shows. Just think back to the Emmy's with Billy Crystal badly aping the movie parodies that MTV first established.
