I saw it a few days ago and really enjoyed it. You know that some of the dialog is going to be a bit cheesy but that didnt detract from it being a very 'watchable' film with good action scenes.

I'm 38 and i still came out of the cinema wishing i owned a real lightsabre !! :)

Hey did you read about two of your brethren critically injuring themselves trying to create REAL lightsabres?? Apparently they took two colored fluorescent light
tubes and filled them with fuel, which then made them explode and burn the two idiots. I read it on Yahoo! today.

OMG that is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard someone do. But the thing that makes it even more dumb, was that it was a pair of them that did it. They put their minds TOGETHER to come up with THAT? obviously their two brains only made up about 1/4 of a regular brain. If even that much. I wonder if they even watch Star Wars again after a traumatic event like this. They probably turned into Lord of the Rings nerds...he he. Sorry had to make fun of those 2 idiots a little.
 
i watched high fidelity last night. that was one good movie. jack black is HILARIOUS!

i want to check out star wars on a digital screen this weekend, but i probably won't have the chance. next weekend it is :D
 
i watched "american history X" tonight. GREAT movie. very powerful message. the acting was fantastic. edward norton is such a great actor. he doesn't make bad movies. and everything he makes is awesome.

hollywood needs more edward nortons :)
 
haven't been on here in a while...went to disneyland and looked for apartments to move into around the LA area. While i was down there i watched the longest yard...it was a pretty good movie altogether. I expected it to be a little funnier than it ended up being with sandler and rock, but it ended up being just a good movie in general, not just a comedy. It's worth watching if you like sandler at all, still has a few classic sandler moments.

I really liked the Longest Yard. Thought it was pretty funny. I saw Unleashed and it was just ok. The movie stars Jet Li. Went and seen Monster-in-law earlier today and it was ok.
 
I watched The Aviator last night, AND the second disc with all the extra stuff on it. Outstanding movie. I liked the casting because they got actors who could convey the essence of their characters without trying to look just like them. Of course, Martin Scorsese is a genius IMHO - so I was pretty sure this would be good.
 
I also liked the Longest Yard....it was tame compared to the original, which played the other night. Burt beats on his girlfriend in that version. I guess Cortney Cox should happy , Sandler's a sweetheart compared to Burt!
I won passes to see Mr. & Mrs. Smith...can't wait!!!

I watched that one last week. It astonishes me that Scorsese doesn't have an Oscar yet.
 
G3 - Off topic: Did you see Inside the Actor's Studio on Sunday? Angelina was on and it was once of the best interviews I have ever seen. James Lipton did an excellent job of interviewing her and put to rest some ugly rumors that had been floating around for a long time. If you haven't seen it (it's on Bravo) watch for it.

Taped it, watched it, loved it, keeping it for posterity.

I have had no fewer than twenty people call me specifically to remind me about both that interview and her Dateline interview on Friday. Not sure if it says more about the worrisome nature of my infatuation, or Ms. Jolie's appeal -- no one reminds me about Jude Law appearances, after all.
 
I just got teh DVD of National Treasure.

GREAT movie!! It was full of suspense and LOTS of adventure. Even a little humor in it too.

I rate it 9.5/10. I would of rated it 10/10, but it was 2 hours and 15 minutes long!! :D
 
I just saw 'Easy Rider' on OnDemand Monday. It's a classic movie, but I don't really understand what the big deal is. It really had no plot or storyline. Perhaps it is just very outdated these days.

I saw Madagascar. It was hilarious! If you liked shrek, you'll laugh your butt off at this film.

I also saw "The Longest Yard." Also funny, but Madagascar was funnier and I think you have to be 13-30 years old to laugh most of the jokes in Longest Yard.
 
I finally got around to seeing 'Napoleon Dynamite' last Friday. I can't stop laughing thinking about it! What a great, quirky little film.
 
Saw "In Good Company" with Dennis Quaid and Scarlet Johansson. Excellent movie! Especially for us office/corporate workers.

I really liked the movie too. Scarlet Johansson was by far the best performance in the movie. She actually stuck to her character. It seems like Dennis Quaid's character really took some leaps I wouldn't have expected a normal hard working man to do. He accepted his demotion with little conflict than had the guts to stand up to Teddy K in front of the entire office staff? I know it makes a good movie but to me it lost a little bit of realism. He was way too down to earth and roll with the punches to have stepped up in that situation, IMO. Decent movie overall though. Directed well, acted well, just not written realistically near the end.
 
"In Good Company" was good, and Scarlett Johansen was deffinetly awesome. I agree with everything C Diddy said.

About Napolean Dynamite, it is a good movie, although deffinetly not good enough to beat out Kill Bill 2 or Spiderman 2 for Movie Of The Year at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards. Althogh, who expects them to get it right? (Even tho ND didnt even make a million dollars in theaters and spiderman 2 made 430 mil+.... :))
 
I saw Batman Begins last week and I have to say it was the best comic movie every made let alone Batman movie. I loved what Bale and Nolan and the cast did.
 
It's a few years old, but I just caught 'One Hour Photo' w/Robin Williams (who was phenomenol in his role!) on cable a couple of days ago. That movie is still so spooky, creepy, and provocative even after a second viewing. I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I think it's great. It really makes you think twice about the people with whom you have very casual contact with.
 
I saw batman begins and I thought it was good. It explains a lot about bruce wayne and the vilians and the batman constume in itself.

Did anyone see The War of the Worlds yet?
 
batmans begins is freaking AWESOME. i've already seen it twice, and i might go see it again. i can not WAIT for the sequel. great cast, top to bottom. christan bale did a great job of being both bruce and batman.

i'm SO looking forward to fantastic 4. oh man i am so totally pumped for that movie!
 
I saw war of the worlds yesterday. Best movie of the summer hands down. No contest. It's phenomenal. Go see it.
 
Saw War of the Worlds the day it came out in theaters. I thought it was pretty good but I didn't like the ending much.
