I saw the movie Hitch and it was pretty good. Go see it.
My bf wants to take me to see that movie. I want to go but I usually fall asleep during romantic movies. Please tell me if this movie is more funny than it is romantic. This will determine whether I see it or not.

I just finished watching The Notebook on DVD, I have never cried so hard during a movie in my life. My eyes are completely swollen shut right now. I'm glad I saw it in my home and not a theatre as I was practically hysterical!
This movie is a must see, but have a box of tissues by your side!

I rented Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow tonight. I was disappointed when I saw it in the theatre, probably because I was expecting too much from it, but I really enjoyed it on a second viewing.

Not a perfect movie by any means, but very fun. And, being a huge art deco fan, I got totally into the retro-futuristic feel of it. Production design is very good, and the computer backgrounds work quite nicely -- the CG robots don't stick out as much as they would against real sets. My biggest problem was that the dialogue (and Gwenyth Paltrow's delivery, especially) do NOT do justice to the era they're trying to capture (His Girl Friday, etc.).

Lastly, I think that Jude and Angie should do more films together. Many, many more.

Although, that could be dangerous. I had to be physically restrained from licking the TV screen.

I just finished watching "Ray."

The music, of course, was spectacular but what struck me the most was how perfectly Jamie Foxx caught Ray Charles' movements, style, etc.

He truly deserves every award possible for his performance.

I have not been to the movies in over a year now, but I have seen some good ppv and rentals.

The Changeling with George C. Scott. More scary than gory, but oh soooooo creepy.
Anyone seen this movie?

One movie I did actually get out and see when it was out there was LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. Excellent movie. You must see it with the subtitles. Do no settle for the dubbed version.

My all time favorite movie- THE OUTSIDERS-watched it 187 times. Had a suitcase full of all the Teen Beat, 16 etc pictures. Great flick.

RoyalDiva wasn't that a great flick. It scared the living daylights out of me. When they are playing back the tape of the seance and you hear that little tiny voice...."Joseph", "My Father". Still gives me the shudders. The ball bouncing down the stairs and then the wheel chair at the end, oh and the bathtub pounding. LOVE IT.

Another good scary one is Exorcist 3. You would'nt think the 3rd one would be any good, but Brad Douriff is a God. He derserved an academy award for his perfomance. And of course George C. was amazing as ever. Ex.3 is worth the rental. I promise.

Okay, I am so behind all of you who actually get to see films in the theaters, etc. I FINALLY got to watch King Arthur last night and I intend to watch Cellular tonight. It's not like there's anything else on worth watching. ;)

Anyway, I was totally impressed with King Arthur. Great film and another one I have to add to my rapidly growing DVD collection.

I saw constentine yesterday. It's a pretty good movie. It's sort of a new take on the exorcist, imho. I especially like the way the movie showed all the bad side effects of smoking.

I had to read that book for school. I enjoyed the book a lot.

After my class and I read it, we watched the movie. The movie was pretty good too, and I liked it as well.

I watched CONSTANSTINE last night. It sucks big time.

Totally waste of money and time. I keep scatching my head during the whole process.

It's not even exciting, at all. This director has some serious problem of building up momentum or figuring out any sort of rhythm.

AWHHHHHHH!!!! :(

I saw Million Dollar Baby yesterday. Great movie!! Hilary Swank definitely deserves the Oscar. I haven't seen Ray yet, but I figure that Jamie Foxx is a lock for Best Actor Oscar over Clint Eastwood, even though Clint was great.

Watched Two Brothers--fell asleep near the beginning, woke up near the end, didn't miss anything but cinematography in between apparently. Watched Into the Sun- I couldn't find a plot line, but I didn't fall asleep.;) would NOT recommend it. Watched King Arthur. Excellent, excellent movie. by far the best one we watched. I intend to watch The Notebook tonight.

I saw Anacondas, and The Cookout.....Anacondas was pretty good...I fell asleep during the middle part of the movie and when I woke up I noticed that one of the main characters were gone, so I figured he was eaten by the anaconda..The Cookout was pretty funny...lol....I recommend both movies :)

i also watched constantine...and i agree with you SINCE93 it did kinda suck, not totally and completely, the effects you have to admit were cool, but the story as well as the all around plot was kinda crazy, i know it isn't supposed to be real...but i don't know, can't really explain it.

if you are going to go and see this, make it a matinee.

War of the Worlds

Don't know if anyone has spotted it yet, but I just stumbled across this little up & coming summer blockbuster: www.waroftheworlds.com

Now, there's a part of me that finds the whole idea of remaking such a classic borderline sacrilege, especially when you hand the lead to someone as overexposed as Tom Cruise. I'm sure Cruise is a fine guy, but stars tend to overshadow the story... and I'm partial to new faces when taking on remakes like this. That said, with Spielberg at the helm... it just may be worthwhile, and I'm sure I'll be front & center when it reaches my neck of the woods this summer.

One of the best creepy movies I've ever seen. Given the given current fad for Ring-like movies, I could imagine The Changeling being box-office gold if it was released now.

Worth seeing just for that long scene in the hospital corridor. I don't even want to own the whole movie-- just that one scene.
