Most important need

Please without saying get rid of vets.

Honestley what do you think the bigger need is?

Pg or Pf

Say we get the number 1 pick.

Our assists are way down, but so is rebounding!

Do you take rose or mayo or do you take Beasley?

I personally think we need a pf more. I mean say bibby is back next year. even though we have a stock pile of bigs. we need a dominat one.

Our bigger NEED is PF, however, if you're choosing between Rose/Beasley I take Rose....if you're choosing between Mayo/Beasley I take Beasley.

If we end up with the first pick we take the best player there regardless of position. At this point I'd probably take Rose, but a lot could change between now and then so I'll hold off on any other names. But it doesn't matter the position.

I love rose. but I think Mayo will be a super star. he is a tall guard like theus. him and Kmart would probly be the best back court in the nba.

Mayo would put Sacramento on the map. Rose will be a allstar, but not a superstar. just my take.

Biggest need is frontcourt improvement.

I'm not going to get into specific players in the draft since we have no idea who is coming out and who isn't and where our draft position is.

I think Rose is going to be a superstar in the league. Mayo may be good, but it seems he has too much of a me first attitude. Rose will get everyone involved and he is a very good defender as well. Look at what Chris Paul did for the Hornets his first year, I think Rose can have a bigger impact because he may be an even better player than Paul was coming out.

You take the bets player available for the most pertinent need. Without arguing which need is most pertinent, I must say I really really really like Rose.

Did I mention how much I like Rose?

Ok good.

I like Rose, and am a little concerned about Beasley's motivation level. He is so used to beating opponents effortlessly that I'm not sure what he'll do when he runs into competition that requires him to work. But I doubt we'll be in a position to make that choice. Unless Petrie intervenes, we'll probably win enough games after Bibby gets back that the choice will be more like Bayless/Collison versus Thabeet/Hibbert/Lopez. In which case we should skip the guys who seem NBA ready and pick the guy who will be best in 2011, since we're going to suck until then anyway.

Yeah, I understand all that, but how do you feel about Rose?

;)

Why don't we trade some of our big man for some cash and high draft picks?
It'll increase our chances on the lottery without the needs of dropping games on purpose. :D

People need to forget about this "need" thing. If we are truly a team in transition trying to rebuild (which GP hasn't showed), then we draft on talent, not position. Obviously, we're not going to draft a C or SG unless they are just too good to pass on. Drafting for needs does nothing for us, we are not going to get into contention anytime soon, filling little needs while not getting what looks to be the best talent is just baloney. Don't make a pick we're all going to regret when our young players are hitting their prime, without that superstar.

If we had the 1st pick, I'm going with Rose every time. How people prefer Mayo is beyond me. Rose is far more athletic, better passer, a true point guard not to mention the tools to be a lock down defender. He's also 6'4'', great size for a PG. Not taking him 1st will be a big mistake. My second pick would be Beasley, based on talent (he has more talent than Mayo).
Mayo doesn't have a great attitude, is more of a score first player and hasn't got the work ethic of Rose.

Why on earth would we draft based on needs? We're rebuilding for the future, get the BPA. Do that and there will be plenty of other chances to get that tough big man.
This theory drives me insane.

If we end up in the position to draft Rose Bibby needs to be playing some where else so Rose can get the amount of playing time he deserves. I wouldn't sleep on Beasley. He might be a bit undersized but he has the potential to be a 10rb 2blk a game type of player along with a well rounded offensive game.

Bottom line, if we get a top 5 pick we will get a player with the potential to be a franchise player. This years draft might surpass last years in the terms of talent available, that is why I am all for trading Bibby, and Artest and try to get another top 10 pick. We could get a couple players out of next years draft who could be starters for a very long time.

On the scale of things I have liked in my entire life, he is somewhere between home cooking and my old blankey. And me 'n my old blankey were like two peas in a pod.

i'd go that exact route too :) i'm not a fan of mayo. i've seen clips on him and i don't see what the hype is all about.

I totally agree. The 2007 class got allot of hype due to the attention Durant and Oden received, but i think the 2008 class has better overall talent. This could be a very deep draft at the pg slot if Bayless decides to enter. If the Kings could get a second pick in the first round they could address their two biggest needs by picking up a big and a pg.
