More from Phil on possible Kings relocation:

How many teams have moved into a big market with another team? ONE ! The clippers. This was before the NBA took off and the leagues finances were totally different. It's also after the league has added 5 teams all to small markets. This is something different and new.

Yes they can ask for whatever financial information they want to prove they can be financially viable. You dont understand they are part of the league. This isn't like a private business. They knew the rules going in.

So where is the link to this rule where it says that owners (in this case Maloofs) are obliged to present their personal financial information to the league upon their request?

NBA might have their own constitution by the are also obliged to follow the federal laws. They cannot introduce a law that cannot be supported by the federal law of the country. It wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Like I said, they can ask on an off chance that Maloofs are willing participants but they are legally not obliged to fulfill that request and thats held against them, then they would have every right for legal action in which case you are opening a can of worms that no one wants to go near.

Would Stern break the tie?? Also...anyone know who KJ is bringing with him next week to speak to the BOG? Lukenbill?...Comcast rep?...I would assume he's at least bringing Taylor/ICON.

I'm thinking...yes

Uhh, there is no federal law that says they have a right to privacy. Just like banks ask for financial info for a loan. Their own loans on the palms has performace clauses where they have to show a profit.
