Cauley-Stein's problem was never talent, but a lack of drive.Lateral quickness is important - though I recall Cauley-Stein was judged the best lateral quickness for his size awhile back.
WCS was a great athlete. But he wasn’t a smart basketball player or someone who played with heart.
Any chance the NBA rigs it for us to prove the lottery isn't rigged?
LOL, too late for what? There it is, he's alive. Looks like it's too little too late though.
I'm with you on #1 and #2. I don't really care which one, just give me one. Boozer and Peterson have high bust potential, imo, for different reasons. Boozer, because of his physical limitations, defense, and questionable ability to transfer his game to NBA. Peterson because he smells to me of entitlement and a guy who is more interested in showcasing himself than in competing. I don't like his vibe at all.
I'm very curious about who the Kings pick in the 2nd round.
Pretty impressive - his speed and motor sticks out as well as his left hand dribble which looks strong - finishing though didn't see him go left too much. - he's got pace and dribbles and a nice touch shooting getting defenders off balance and likes his scoop shot on attack.. Good anticipation on steals on defense. Could be a Fox-level impact player.Acuff had a terrific season, and I would be fine with him. But I still have Fleming ranked above him. Anyway, I thought I'd remind everyone just how good he is. Like Acuff, he's a terrific athlete with the ability to explode off the dribble. He's a three level scorer, just like Acuff. He has outstanding handles and can get anywhere he wants on the floor. The main difference between Fleming and Acuff is defense. Fleming is a very good defender, and being two inches taller than Acuff helps.
At 6'4" and 190 Lbs, he's a very physical player, contrary to some opinions on this forum. He's the complete package and he hardly ever turns the ball over. So, without further ado.
Should have the opportunity to draft a solid one if that is the direction the team/front office decides to go in on draft night.
Doug already priming us for taking one of the guards at 5/6/7
One thing this draft is full of is good PGs. While I like Kingston Flemings the best, think Darius Acuff, Labaron Philon and Bennett Stirtz are all going to be good PGs. Mikel Brown and Christian Anderson both have really good potential as well. Then there are a few others to consider: Tyler Tanner, Sergio de Larrea, Bruce Thornton, and Braden Smith.

Their are several players that could fall into the 2nd rd that would be great pickups for the KIngs. Some would be steals, like Cameron Carr.
Another player I like in the 2nd is Sergio De Larrea who plays in the Spanish league for Velencia. He's a 6'6" PG who is a very good 3pt shooter at 43% while taking 6 a game.. He's a better athlete than I thought. He's a very good off the ball player for a PG. He's not Acuff or Fleming, but I could see him being a very good backup combo guard.
I have many others that I like, but some are likely to go in the bottom of the first round. Like Dailyn Swain from Texas. A 6'7" wing who is a very good offensive player and and outstanding defensive player. He definitely deserves to be a first rd pick, but in this draft, he could get pushed into the top of the 2nd rd.
Some other players I like without the videos, (maybe later) are Alex Karaban, the 6'8" sf, 20 year senior from Uconn. I exaggerate of course, but it seems as though he's been there forever. He'd be a solid off the bench type player. I like Amari Allen, another 6'7" wing from Alabama.
Decent offensive player with some upside left and a very good defensive player. He shot just a tick under 37% from three.
I have to mention one of my favorites, Allen Graves, a 6'9" sf from Santa Clara. Santa Clara keeps producing NBA players. Graves shot 41% from three while taking around 2.7 threes a game. Graves is an excellent defensive player, and a good rebounder. Doesn't have that explosive first step, but is crafty with the ball and gets to the basket.
I would also argue that A.J. is effectively a PG. I think his value rests on being that jumbo squint-and-see-LeBron wing-sized guy that's going to be your primary ball handler. You may not want him to guard opposing 6'1"/6'2" PGs, but that's what guys like Carter are for.One thing this draft is full of is good PGs. While I agree he will handle the ball a lot, I wouldn't want him to be the PG. He would be better served as the secondary facilitator IMO. I think that is true of Peterson, Wagler and Burries as well.I would also argue that A.J. is effectively a PG. I totally agree. I'm not totally sold on Acuff or Peterson or any other guard in this draft. They are likely to be fine NBA players, maybe great. But Fleming as a true point guard, talented on so many levels and very coachable exactly what the Kings need. I said it little bit tongue and cheek but it is what it is. Here's very cool vid of Fleming (How Good?) and shorter (16 mins) than twice as long (also cool vid) posted by Baja of 19 year old Freshman Big 12 big-time standout point guard. You do have a point there. And history on your side... If we'd had King James here for the last 20 years? Multiple championships.

Wasn't his "problem" getting addicted to Fentanyl after his friends were murdered?Cauley-Stein's problem was never talent, but a lack of drive.
LOL, too late for what?
Thanks for the info. Will be interesting to see if any of these guys drop to the Kings in the 2nd roundTheir are several players that could fall into the 2nd rd that would be great pickups for the KIngs. Some would be steals, like Cameron Carr.
