Nate Ament might find himself in the 5-7 spot before it’s all said and done.
It's a good chance. I mean really are 5 PG's going to go 5-10? Lol. probably not.

Not sure about Flemings. Solid player but it seems more like he's a Mike Conley level player rather than a franchise changer.
He's going to be a good player, heck could be one of the best, but out of all the top PG's he's the least productive per 36 and simply doesn't draw contact. One of the easiest to decipher commonalities between franchise players is the ability to get to the line. In the game against BYU we can see how sending a hard show or double can stop him dead in his tracks when it comes to him turning the corner and getting himself into his mid range sweet spot.
I've been thinking of who he reminds me of frame wise and it's Kevin Martin. He's got that same slight type of frame that doesn't lend itself to adding much if any more size to it. Kevin Martin utilized drawing contact to get into that 20-25 point range but it wasn't long before injuries started to pile up. If Flemings comes into the league and attempts to draw that kind of contact can he hold up? That's the question. There are Rose comparisons, and some are valid, but Rose had a totally different frame and that said, once he started to look to get to the line more same thing, he started to breakdown physically.
I’m warming up to Boozer if AJ is off the board and we pick in that 3-5 range. Im generally cautious of Duke players but he sounds smart enough to excel.
If in the 6-8 range I also like Wagler, the height is nice but sure hope he translates into our future main facilitator because Nique, same height likely won’t. Still an intriguing backcourt pairing, though would be looking at another logjam but that might be an issue at all positions.
That’s not what I meant to imply. Even though I see Nique as primarily a SG, the logjam is that we will be creating another situation of guard excess bringing in Wagler. But that’s with the current roster which will likely change between now and the start of next season, who knows what players will be moved.Nique/Wagler isn’t a logjam Nique can play 1-3 and Wagler can play both guard spots
I thinking if we fall to 6-7 we might take him.Nate Ament might find himself in the 5-7 spot before it’s all said and done.

Lately I’ve been scouting the “worst case scenario” draft position according to where our record is and it hasn’t been that bad.
In this case we are 2nd worst (only behind Indiana) which leads us to getting the #6 pick and I’ve been scouting the players around that area
Wagler, Acuff, Brown, Ament, Philon. Looks like we are still getting a good player (potentially an all star). To me those players have a chance to be at Fox’s level if not better. That’s a win in my book![]()
There's still a ways to go but when it comes to 1st option potential, Acuff certainly seems to be above the rest in terms of potential to be the head of the snake when it comes to the guards.
The most predictive statistic for NBA 3 point shooting is FT%. Ament is only behind Boozer in projected 3 point percentage. But regardless is we are 6 or 7….. AJ, Boozer, Wilson are all long gone before that point. Ament could well be our best option
Stay away from Ament
boozers 3 point stats are borderline elite
I have no idea what signing retreads and talent evaluation for the draft have in common. And Boozer doesn't stand above the rest in my view.As said, that player isn't a usual specimen. When a team is where the Kings are at they need someone that can be great at what they are. And yes, offense >>> defense all day if they aren't a two way player because no team can build around a defense only player. The Kings need someone that can produce and all the top 4 in this draft look like they will be able to even if in different ways. The top 3 standout above all from the looks of it however and Boozer in some way stands above the rest. If the Kings go for talent and don't screw it up like usual, they might in a worst case have a highlight piece to a package to get said player. The Kings routinely do what they're doing now. Sign retreads and put them over pieces that at least have a chance to become some sort of valuable asset. Then they wonder why they are continuously on the outside looking in when it comes to roster improvement.

Also, while I still very much like Nique, his rookie year has not made me say "He's a locked in starter going forward".
Offensively he's the head of the snake but defensively he is the ass of the snake. He needs to be Jalen Brunson offensively at the next level. It's not out of the realm of possibility.
