He’s also hard to evaluate defensively because he plays the whole game and I can be see he paces himself.
And check out #3 on the list...
I get that but at the same time a lot of his layup attempts are only happening on possessions where he otherwise cannot dunk the ball (which happens very infrequently because the man can dunk from essentially anywhere within the three point line) or where he tries doing a Moses Malone self-assist thing. His FT% would at least suggest that there’s a solid shooting stroke in him.
There's just no comparison between where Caleb Wilson is right now and where Peyton Watson was after one year of college. Night and day.
Don't be surprised if Keon is not part of our rebuilding effort(s).I know we're apparently looking to trade Domas as part of blowing things up, but Caleb Wilson would look damn good next to him at PF.
Sabonis
Wilson
Murray
Ellis

Is a strong starting lineup that is a good PG away from being very solid.

Wilson would probably excel in a five out system where he could just use his elite downhill speed and footwork against NBA spacing to just get to the rim at will. Guy might be the best downhill forward to come out of college since Zion. Domas would honestly just get in his way haha. Defensively though, I could absolutely see it.Yeah works on paper, but the problem is the Kings have to stop doing this. They'll just slot Wilson into role player status, or any young guy for that matter, and crush his development like they do with almost every single player they draft. The Kings have to actually do this the right way for once. You need development time and cap space. Rookie contracts are the grease that makes building a team work.

I know. I've largely tuned out this season. When and if they make the mistake of giving away Keon to get rid of terrible contracts I'll likely tune out even more.
My god. Imagine the defensive upside of
Carter
Keon
Keegan
Caleb
with Domas cleaning the glass.
That'd probably be the biggest defensive turn-around in a single season in NBA history

I don't know why his rim% is so low, but layups will come. Nobody ought to downgrade Wilson on rim%, and if they do:
A) Better not be us
B) All the better for us
If all of Peterson, Booker, AJ, and Caleb are off the board I would be increasingly okay with us picking Brown.
I think that counts as a self-created dunk

Brown plays negative defenseI’m taking brown over wilson every day of the week
Brown plays negative defense
Brown plays negative defense
I don't think we can sit around here and hate on LaVine and DeRozan for not playing defense and then lust after another guard who can't play defense.Yes but we need an offensive hub I don’t like what I see from Wilson in that regard. If we could land Melo and kuminga at the deadline then I’d have Wilson over him
