Miller out 4-6 weeks with a broken leg

I'm wondering if, perhaps, Brad and Tag unknowingly killed a sacred woodland creature on one of their hunting trips.
In Indian mythology it is a comon theme for hunters to be cursed for killing deer. It shows up severl times in the Mahabarata and in the Ramayana. Although usualy the wounded deer turns out to be a Bhraman who has transformed himself... Lets just hope any deer our two red necks may have killed was just a deer.

Note to Brad and Tag:

If a deer, ANY deer, asks you not to shoot it...let it go. This is a definite sign of mystical juju.

Hey, some of you guys have humorously embraced the Sacramento redneck stereotype. Good to see.
When a team has both Tag and Miller on it you HAVE to embrace the red neck.

2 things.

1. Attention Brad!! its called C-A-L-C-I-U-M!!!!

2. Can we get all the Priests, Ministers, Rabbis, shahmans, Clerics, Spitual Advisors, and Medicine Men to Arco tomorrow? We need to do something. Its getting rediculous. Maybe we need the Native Indians of the area to give us som kind od ceremony or something! I feel like im in the movie Nightmare on Arena Boulavard!

Okay I have to ask...how do you break your fibula going for a lay up? Ah well...it's amazing, if anyone had told me at the beginning of this season that all of these things were going to happen I would have thought they were crazy...ya gotta love the NBA!!!

I don't think the Lakers are worrying about the Kings right now...they've got enough problems of their own!! ;)

When it comes to Lakers - there could never be enough problems

And while they're at it, they'd better give those parking gate attendants AND the ticket takers the boot too. I'm sure they're complicit in this whole scenario.
You mock him/her for the idea for firing the trainers, and I think you shouldn''t. Their job is the health of the team. Over their tenure with this organization no team has been more "unhealthy". Is it all their fault? Of course not. Is there some blame their way? Yes.

I'm surprised you would ask something like that. If you are a King, you can break any bone in your body just eating breakfast in the morning. I mean spoons and stuff can be hazardous for a King.

At this point that couldn't hurt;)

I'm not sure how much or how little stretching and warm-ups would help prevent broken bones (is there a trainer in the house who can answer this?). It was probably just a nasty fall. BUT we do seem to have more injuries than average. And I don't believe in Murphy's Law. Now bad luck on the other hand...

apparently he suffered from completing a layup? HOW??? I dont believe in Murphy's Law either. It shoudlnt be call a law either just because its popular and alot of people can relate to it. It's a theory. A law is not a law unless its proven to be the case in every scenario and is a pure fact.

Does Murphy's law says worst thing happen every year??? Also, stretching might not stop a bone from being broken, but it does help overall. What I like to question is hamstring problem, back problem, ligament injuries. These guys are professional athlete like any other players on other team. Just how is it that only we suffered these injuries in bulk? They either dont take care of their body with the right conditioning or pure bad luck and i dont believe in bad luck lasting this long.
Maybe they should drink more milk :)

How is there blame to be assessed on the trainers?

Training styles are pretty standardized. Virtually all the teams perform the same types of warm-up exercises. It's not voo-doo; it's physical training and it's taught in schools. The training staff is professionals. They follow accepted norms, etc.

To blame the training staff is without basis in fact, IMHO. I cannot recall even ONE instance where any writer has ever put the blame on the trainers and I think there's a very good reason for that, since the media loves to throw blame around like confetti. They know how the training staff works and they cannot assess any blame in that direction.

Okay, you're really missing the point. Murphy's Law is a common adage. It's a common adage because it fits a lot of situations. It's not science in any way, shape or form.

As to how someone can suffer a non-dislocated fracture completing a lay-up, it obviously can happen because it did happen. I knew someone who broke their ankle simply stepping off the last stair onto the ground. It doesn't happen every day but weird stuff happens. Miller's situation is probably exacerbated by the fact he is a large person who at some point in his life most likely went through a significant growth spurt. In that instance, there could have been a slight flaw in the bone that most likely would have gone undetected his entire life IF he hadn't had to redistribute his weight onto his left leg because of the problems with his right leg.

If you want to blame the trainer, feel free to do so but I still maintain you have shown NO EVIDENCE whatsoever to support your allegations.
