Miller out 4-6 weeks with a broken leg

Well, yes, but he only recently became a starter. Give him time. ;)

Bibby's actually been the healthy one, and just pray that THAT continues or we really would be screwed. We can survive Brad. But Mike...

I don't think the Lakers are worrying about the Kings right now...they've got enough problems of their own!! ;)

Which only PROVES it's their fault. I'm sure you've heard the old Gaelic expression: The evil you do returns to you thricefold.

So, since the Lakers ARE experiencing a myriad of problems it's plain as day that it was their poultry sacrifices that caused ours.

;)

I don't know if Now is the time but, Tyrone Hill is a free agent. That guy had some great ability rebounding and posting up. He must have hurt himself pretty bad to not be able to recover from it.

On a weird note. Why am I not having that knee jerk reaction to this news of Miller. Maybe i look at what we have got. With Miller you have passing ability rebounding and good shooting range.
With Skinner (so far) You got better rebounding, more blocked shots, athletic ability with more of a low post threat. Not to mention better defense and quickness.

But the opotion of running the offense through your center is out the window. Now we are a PG lead team. It works for the Suns lets see if Bibby is up to the challenge. Oh yeah and Peja needs to wake his *** up.

Sensory overload. Kings fans have had to react and recover from so much this past year there comes a point when they simply cannot allow themselves the luxury of any more emotional involvement. So, instead of reacting with the "doom and gloom" attitude, people are either simply accepting it as just ANOTHER nail in the coffin OR they're laughing through their tears.

;)

peja is sleep walking for real out there.... he didnt move at all in the clipper game....

It said on ESPN that he should be able to go on the exercise bike in 10 days but it sucks for me because I have Brad on my fantasy league. First I lose Jermaine O'neal which might be for the rest of the season now Brad. Luckily I picked up Skinner. I hope Brad is back on the floor before the playoffs. I have trust that this team can hold on and maintain their 5 spot. I guarantee a win tomorrow. This team plays well with adversity.

I am more of an optomist. I still think we are pretty damn good. How many good Centers are there in the west. rephrase how many centers in the west play better than what Skinner has be playing lately? We will win th west. I just hope Brad is back when we met Shaq and Miami in the Championship series

Oh yeah and i fully expect Peja to put up 30 against Houston tomorrow. You can write that down in your score books now. You heard it here from Entity first.

 I guess optimist is one word for it... ;)

This doesn't change much, but maybe seating and expectations. We are still probably out in the first round.

Get well Brad.

They play the games for a reason. WE WILL be in the WCF this year. You can write that down in you date book.

fire the trainers already...enough is enough.

And while they're at it, they'd better give those parking gate attendants AND the ticket takers the boot too. I'm sure they're complicit in this whole scenario.

I read this in a different thread, but I'll throw in my reaction now...

::Read Brad breaks his leg::

I instantly jumped up, my hands shot to my head, and I scream "WHAT!?!"

I was shocked. We are cursed.

But as VF (And SlipKnot) say.

"What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger!"

Lets hope this isnt the straw that breaks the camels back...

This sucks. TAG TO THE RESCUE!!! Of course only if Adelman unlocks his cage. Wow, its amazing how the Kings have transformed into a defense first team (of course partly do to lack of offense) but still defense first none the less. Skinner and Tag at C!!!

I think the poor beast was already prone on the ground with bones protruding from its spine...

;)

If anything, the timing on this break is anti-climactic to say the least. Imagine how distraught we would have been had this occurred on ... oh ... say Feb. 22.

We and the team will survive.

At this point that couldn't hurt;)

I'm not sure how much or how little stretching and warm-ups would help prevent broken bones (is there a trainer in the house who can answer this?). It was probably just a nasty fall. BUT we do seem to have more injuries than average. And I don't believe in Murphy's Law. Now bad luck on the other hand...

What, pray tell, leads you to believe the team doesn't do proper warm-ups before practice?

This "blame the trainer" stuff is simply without basis in fact. Every team has trainers and, for the most part, they subject the players to the same regimens. Some things are pretty universal, regardless of the team/trainers involved. And why wouldn't they be?

I don't know what caused it but he only broke one bone so I assume it must be a stress fracture or maybe some contact to that side of his leg?

Heres something intersting about stress fractures

What causes a stress fracture?

Stress fractures often are the result of increasing the amount or intensity of an activity too rapidly. They also can be caused by the impact of an unfamiliar surface (a tennis player who has switched surfaces from a soft clay court to a hard court); improper equipment (a runner using worn or less flexible shoes); and increased physical stress (a basketball player who has had a substantial increase in playing time).

Hmmm...

37 min a game? If he's that fragile we have bigger problems than our rotation. The guys 28 not 88.

My brother sustained a stress fracture in his foot during basketball practice and the ortho thought it was a combination of the shoes he was wearing and physical stress.

Stress fractures are a sneaky deal. This could have been already occuring and it was just up to this point that this happened. This kind of injury can happen at any time.
