Mike Bratz finalizing deal to become Kings assistant GM

He is Denver's director of player personnel. Strong move. Should help with this last minute draft preparation the Kings are doing. Pretty soon there's going to be nobody left to turn out the lights in Denver.

I remember Mike Bratz but I hadn't heard of him in a few years. Things are falling into place now. He's another one who has been scouting the current draft prospects and he worked with Pete and Mike malone at different times.

Welcome back Mike!

Former Kings player in their first season in Sacramento and and long time assistant coach under Gary St. Jean. Welcome back Mike!

Not exactly the resume of champions.

No, but he's a familiar name in basketball and seemed to have had a good career since then. Also, St.Jean was a decent coach imo. I kind of liked him. He would be 2nd or 3rd all time coach, but that's not really saying much. Adelman was the only coach that was really good that we ever had since I became a fan in the late 80s early 90s.

Bratz brings about 32 years of basketball experience with him so I will take it.

I loved St. Jean as a person. I met him several times. One of the nicest people in the world. But he was a terrible coach. Probably a very good assistant coach because of his abiltiy to calm the waters between the players and Nellie at Golden State, but he's a perfect example of the Peter Principle. They kept promoting him up the food chain until he finally reached a position he had no ability to succeed at. The man had the ability to sell a dead elephant to the chicago zoo though!

He also holds the honor of being the last player in Chicago to where the #23 before MJ rolled into town.
