I'm smiling. Let's move on. Just read a good article which I googled - an interview a year or two ago by his law school almamater - NSU. Interesting guy.
Hmm, does this increase the chance we go after Iggy?

Yeah I just read it too, good stuff.
If anybody wants to read it:

Nova Southeastern University. Never heard of them but the article was worth my reading.Who is NSU?
It's a private grinder in FL. They pretty much only do post grad degrees. Great place to work if you are a grant writer.Oh.
Nova Southeastern. THAT NSU.
um...where the hell is it?

The other question is, was Denver looking to hire him for their vacancy? why or why not?
'D'Alessandro's first orders of business with the Kings will be the June 27 NBA draft, where the Kings select seventh, and how to proceed with talented, but enigmatic center DeMarcus Cousins. D'Alessandro has been a proponent of giving Cousins every opportunity to succeed with the Kings and creating a culture with which he could flourish, sources told Yahoo! Sports.'
I like him already!
And some more on him:
Sam: And cap-management? How well has he been navigating the CBA?
Kalen: Well, that responsibility has pretty much fallen on assistant general manager Pete D-Alessandro, by all accounts. He’s supposedly one of the most informed and intelligent cap guys in the league
it all depends on what ranadive's vision is for the team. we're hearing a lot of rumors lately that ranadive has repeatedly reached out to demarcus cousins already. he appears to recognize what many of us recognize: DMC is a special talent that can take this team far. my guess is that chris wallace feels the same way, that the kings should be built around demarcus cousins, which is likely why ranadive considers him a front runner. i imagine that any GM who doesn't feel the same way about cousins won't be getting the job...
hah, early on in the chris wallace thread, i had this to say:
it appears that i was half-right, and that d'alessandro's confidence in demarcus cousins was in line with ranadive's vision for the team, and was likely a big part of the reason he got the GM job...
given the other names floated about in the kings' GM search, i'm satisfied with this hire. i'm a bit apprehensive about having two rookies at their respective positions in the organization, considering how important the head coach and GM are to the direction of a team, but if mike malone and pete d'alessandro come as advertised, hopefully there's a bright future ahead in sacramento...
