Too bad for Josh..now that's a Mav I liked and respected. Guy won't sleep for a few nights after what he did.
Don't feel bad for Josh... if you look at the replay, he did what any player would have done. He looked at the bench and the coach was screaming like a maniac trying to get anyone's attention and making "Time Out" signs, so he turned to the referee and asked for a timeout. Then Avery Johnson went crazy saying "NO - AFTER the second one". Maybe he should have validated what they wanted, but in the heat of the moment if your coach is screaming and making "Time Out" signs, you call for a timeout.

I think the funniest thing is last week after winning game 2 Cuban goes on Letterman and proclaim the mavs champs basically, and then announces his parade plans in Dallas for Tomorrow..ooooooooops. Little ahead of himself perhaps.

Mark Cuban is now complaining that Dwyane Wade had a backcourt violation when they inbounded the ball 4 that last play in OT..the play that Dwyane was fouled on

Edited for accuracy.

I have yet to watch a minute of this series.

You're missing a dmaned good one.

As an aside, I STILL think the Mavs should be favorites to pull it out onthe strength of the two last games being at home. But we'll see, that noose around their necks has to be feeling pretty tight right now.

With all due respect, I'm not missing ****.

Quite the contrary, as the WNBA is in the midst of their best season to date, in terms of the quality of basketball league-wide. And, since I actually like the WNBA, I'm not about to miss one of their games to watch an NBA Finals game between two teams I couldn't care less about.

I suppose I should be happy for those that are watching if it's been good basketball. But I haven't exactly been hurting for a lack of good basketball by not watching.

If you don't care and you're not watching, then why even comment about it? Isn't this akin to those people who don't care about the WNBA, don't watch the WNBA and yet comment in the Monarchs forum?

No offense meant in any way, Slim, but you seem to be awfully contrarian lately...

I make use of the "Previous Thread," "Next Thread" links at the bottom of the page, rather than exit back to the board after reading each thread... With that being said, I came into the NBA forum yesterday morning to read something else and ended up in this thread unintentionally. I looked at the poll and thought, "Whatever." Then I glanced through some of the posts in the thread and got annoyed, so I decided to put my two cents in.

I didn't come here looking for an argument. I just walked into one.

Then Bricklayer responded directly to me, and implied that I'm missing out for choosing not to watch the Finals, and I got annoyed all over again. I didn't come here to bash the NBA, which is what those guys who hate the WNBA do to the W and, as you're aware, I am quite fond of the NBA; I even consider myself an NBA fan first... most of the time. I didn't come in here and say that Dallas or Miami don't deserve to be in the Finals, which is more along the lines of something that a WNBA hater would say about the W in general. I didn't come in here and say that it's boring, or that it's bad basketball. All I said is that I don't care who wins, and that I'm doing just fine on the good basketball front.

Have I been contrarian? I haven't noticed...
