no thanks, i just can´t stand this guy. And i don´t like to see him taking away minutes from our young wing player.

Also rumor has it is he wants to get paid this year thinks he's finally earned the right to command big money, not MAX money but he wants his paper. But he isn't worth it, especially like the poster above said we have guys in his position who could be better than him next year.

I really like Barnes, but at the 2 not the 3. But as said above, he's looking to get paid and we shouldn't be interested.

Listening to Petrie yesterday on the radio, he wants another shooter. If not in the draft, then elsewhere. So probably more of a chance to see him go after Kyle Korver than Barnes.

kyle korver would be a nice pickup if he could stay healthy, if GP really lookin for a shooter he should take a look at Mike Miller, sure he's getting old but he can still put up buckets once again if he can stay healthy haha

Yep, Korver and Miller are definitely guys to take a look at. I like Miller because he can take pressure off of Evans. Neither should be starters, but could be very valuable bench players in basically a three guard rotation.

Another option is Anthony Morrow who is restricted and much more one dimensional. But he's younger and a great shooter.

For me the ideal outcome would be drafting Cousins, signing a shooter and then using the 2nd rounder to take a flyer on a combo or scoring guard like Terrico White, Jordan Crawford or Willie Warren or especially Dominique Jones.

But failing that I'd like to see them draft Wes Johnson (and play him at SG) and sign a frontcourt player in free agency. And with that second rounder either get a combo guard or take a flier on one of the many intriguing bigs in the 2nd round.

Just a question, why have JT start when you have sammy starting? So you can have 2 frontcourt players making boneheaded offensive moves. At this stage in his career JT is a bench player, come of the bench to give some good minutes. He has to polish his game. Currently he only has rebounding of Landry. Sammy will mask some of Landry's rebounding deficits while Landry will carry the offensive load. JT cant do that. Whether you start Sammy or Cousins, Landry needs to be the starter (a 18ppg, 6.5rpg PF who has hops and a buttery smooth jumper, and actually does play decent defense).

Look, I don't care who starts, Landry or Thompson. But just how do you know what Thompson is capable of, or not? You have no idea how much he may or may not improve in this offseason. His final 15 games of the year last year he almost averaged a double/double in points and rebounding. Missing in the rebounding dept at 9.8 boards. Remember he's just entering his third year.

Personally if I have to choose between a 6'11" player that can give me 15 and 10 a night or a 6'8.5" player that gives me 17 and 6 a night, I'll take the 6'11" guy everytime. Just from a defensive point of view it gives you a better match up. I think you just let them battle it out in training camp and let Westphal decide.

I knew Matt when he was growing up and playing at Del Campo. He's a nice guy, and a classic over accheiver. So I'm not sure why you can't stand him. However, I don't think we need his services on the team..

I will say this, with the dalembert trade and the kings singing bye bye to Hawes (wish him luck...just needs to get his head on straight)...the kings seem to be in very good shape with the front line. You have a defensive minded C and a offensive minded PF and a player in JT who can fill both positions. Add to that the potential opportunity to land Cousins or even Monroe if cousins is gone, and you have a team whose front line will likely be set for the next few years from starters to bench whoever it may be(provided they return either landry (and)/or sammy next season).

BTW I am high on JT, just think he needs more time to develop his game. Has better potential than landry thanks to his extra size, just dont think he's quite there yet, and the kings need the scoring from Landry. They will likely see plenty of time on the court both with each other in games and against each other in practice. An interesting start to the off season.

I've always been a fan of Barnes. He is hardworking local guy, and he I'm sure he would love to play for the Kings. I loved him when he was on our team.
