WOW. what a joke. kevin has great respect for where he is. And doing something out of character to make his fans think he is a hard *** just will never happen. just a young man living life the same way he plays the game. (with his heart). He may have nights when he gets pushed all over the court until the buzzer sounds, but, make no mistake about it, you will see him pushing back. You will never see him being disrespectful to anyone, and for sure not a female. His first name is not Kobe, and I thank God for that. Lets support kevin and Garcia equally we are going to need both of them this year to see the results we hope to see.

Woohoo! That young man has "got it"....what is important that is. And, I can certainly tell where he "got it."

i hear all this stuff about him being kind hearted and honest and all that stuff, but does anyone know him personally?

Yes, there are several members who know him personally.

There's a "LOT" that I would love to say here but, why bother? Except to say...proves there's at least one gentlemen in the NBA. Bet there's a few more also.

I'm hopin this year Martin & Garcia can just share back-up SG, SF minutes, gives us a chance to develop them both, so ones not riding the bench, does anyone else agree?

I am with you, Nana!

I hope that both get a good amount of playing time. And what I hope the most is that we get to see some crazy alley oops from the Garcia-KMart pair.

How cool would be that to see in a regular NBA season!!!!!

martin can dunk? i think i have only see him lay it up.

He's actually pretty athletic. He has a good vertical not "OH MY GOODNESS, DID YOU SEE THAT! But he is fairly athletic and can get up pretty quick. He loves to finish at the rim, he'll dunk, lay-in, whatever works in the moment.

Why wont we defend Peja like that???
Defend Peja against what? Is someone saying he shouldn't be in the league, doesn't deserve playing time, can't dunk? Is too nice to girls at parties to be a real NBA player?

He's had a few dunks (that I saw, I only had the cable tv games and some games vs. nets/knicks), yes. Most notably in the Spurs game from January, same one that had the between the legs pass.

I have the utmost respect for Peja's skills as a player (see my avatar, that's the license plate off one of my cars) I think his man defense has improved dramatically since his early days with the Kings. I think he has a gift for shooting that few can boast and many envy. Do I fill posts with questions of his 'softness'? No. Do I condemn him for the minutes he logged, or didn't log as a rookie? Again, no. Peja has logged many minutes as a King. He has had his moments of glory, and his moments of ignomy. It happens. All players have strengths, and all, weaknesses. I fail to see what Peja and his relative softness or not, have to do with Kevin?

Me? He's not the toughest guy, but he's not real soft.
Oh please. He's a complete creampuff. A talented creampuff. But as soft as any player you're going to run into in almost every way you rate softness. Doesn't like contact, doesn't rebound, doesn't hit the floor, doesn't show up in big games, refuses to stick his nose in there on help defense, gets owies, shrinks in the clutch...every once in a blue moon he'll do something to show that he may at least still be a male, but its practically a what's what list of softness.

Martin is a little different. He might be too "nice", and of course last year he was too weak physically. And hence there is an air of potential softness there. But he also showed that he would stick his nose in there and for such a skinny guy is willing to absorb a lot of contact from much bigger players. "Soft or not" for him might turn on his assertiveness this year. Is he going to just be a "nice" shy kid playing the wallflower again? Or is he going to move beyond that and get after it and go on the attack?

I have one crazy idea, do u think Martin can play in PG position ?
I think he can play, he is atheltic, quick, has execellent ball handling skill, and can pass the ball well, that's why i think he can try to become a PG.

And if he can become a PG, it's great for him to develop his career in NBA. He is too thin and weak for a NBA level SG, even BIBBY is heavier than him. But his weight is not a problm if he playing PG, and his height is a great asset for defense.

Even he cannot become a poor PENNY HADAWAY, biutI believe he can become a taller BOBBY JACKSON or HOUSE (shoot 1st type PG).

I think Garcia will be playing some point this season given his versatility. Martin hasn't really shown much of that, so far more of a pure OG.

Martin is thin, but he'll put on more weight (even more than he already has so far).

Do I think Kevin can play PG?

That's like asking if Peja could play center.

Kevin is a two-guard. Period. He wasn't brought here to be anything BUT a shooting guard.
