I'm still waiting for someone to point out to him that that wasn't really a running team?Pete understands we don't have Webber, Divac, Bibby, Christie, Peja, Bobby, or anything like them right?
Does Pete realize that we loved the Mitch Richmond Kings as well. They were not flashed. They were blue collared. How about we just play the style that fits our players.
It might, but in reality is it a risk which we needed to take...? did we need to risk our immediate future on what appears to be a philosophy argument.
We were winning! It was brilliant... now uncertainly is back, i don't like that.
Why is our front office so worried about "Style" as opposed to wins?
And why did he go back to the Spurs comparison again? Spurs don't care about what the fans think of their style.
I didn't say I preferred defense to winning, don't go putting words in my mouth!
PDA actually wants to be politically correct and wiggled around to other issues to prevent himself from being forced into pointing out the stupidity of coach Malone. Why is our front office so worried about "Style" as opposed to wins?

Do we want PDA to point out all the stupid mistakes of Malone in coaching during this interview?
Of course not.
That's why PDA will never be truly great FO leader, a great GM. He's not a straight talker like Gregg Popovich was when he was Spurs GM before taking reins as head coach. He never said much, but when he did it was direct, to the point, not deceptive - certainly not a lie. Maybe Pop had learned that lesson as US Air Force Academy graduate but where ever he did PDA is not cut of the same cloth. He's a little sneaky weasel nerd who thinks he knows way more than he really does. Now if it ends up not being true that the nerd blew it with this move Kings fans will know soon enough and long before, "the new building."
Malone just got fired. You don't want to continuously kick him down by pointing out his stupid mistakes. That is why he kept on referring to the style of play (and blah-blah-blah) instead of stating that there were too many blunders that Malone had done that cause us to lose so many winnable games.

Pete said the Kings want to give the fans a style of play reflects the city, referred to Webber days
Is Pete confused?
at least the Lakers are losing 60 to 21 in the first half. Yea you read that correctly
all i see are dislikes so far, lolol
The first thing he says is you do things when the time is right. So firing your head coach 20 games into the season, when the team is overachieving despite missing its star player for 9 games, is the right time to do it?
Jeez.. Corbin will get the shaft as soon as they reach negotiations with Karl. The video above is clear as day.
had the guts to do whats right for the team. no wonder demarcus sees malone as a players' coachThis is how you get fired. Call your owner full of it.
"I don’t care what anybody says," Malone said after after a Dec. 6 loss to the Orlando Magic, per Jason Jones of The Sacramento Bee. "Analytics, whatever you want to call it. I think it’s all B.S. Defense wins in the NBA, and (Saturday) we didn’t defend anybody."

Someone has to coach the team until the "real" coach arrives. You want the interim coach to do his best so of course you throw your support at him, when behind the scenes, everyone knows the truth. Karl will be coming I'm guessing, but that doesn't happen overnight either. You're right though, no positive here.I hate the whole approach on that. If you can get Karl, which it seems you can, then it's bad basketball to even give Corbin the chance. So either you're passing up on a HOF coach to give a guy who hasn't been good a chance, or you're being dishonest to everyone while you bide your time on the coach you want. There's no positive there.
It's a good scenario, but still don't like how we did it. Business is business, it's why I am a therapist and not a businessman. Far less directly involved with business in the medical field. That would be best case scenario to me. I'm fine with that actually. All would be forgiven.
