I hope Tuesday is an epic boo-fest, whether it spoils Peja's moment or not.
I'm sure Peja will roll with that, he was always great at handling high pressure situations as a player.

I don't even buy that argument, logical as it may have been.
Doomed to fail how? We WEREN'T failing! And Vivek is the owner. All he had to do was say, hey, I think the coach has it right, and there is no fail. PDA works with him, and that's that.
No the fail came because somebody, whether it be Mullin, PDA, or Vivek Basketball for Dummies book, convinced him that he had to run run run to get his NBA 3.0 B.S. going, and Vivek CAUSED the fail. We a good owner, a strong owner, an owner who has a ****ing clue, there IS no fail, because he's the owner. He makes the call. No matter who initiated this, in the end it was on Vivek's desk, and the fact he signed off on it shows just the difference between being a former success in the tech business, and having a ****ing clue what he's doing as an NBA owner.
I did, and I did.Just quoting this to make sure it doesn't disappear up the page. Don't want to start a separate thread on it and fracture discussion, but everybody should read this...and weep.
Holy poopoo. Shut the doors if true.
Interesting choice of words in the article, that never puts Malone and PDA against each other: "one league official close to D'Alessandro and Malone told Yahoo Sports." Somebody still made all those tiny acquisitions, that moved the franchise a bit closer to the right direction. Feels like it's all Vivek instigated by Mullin.Just quoting this to make sure it doesn't disappear up the page. Does anyone doubt they were tanking at the end of last season now? I mean christ, they completely tied Malone's hands with the guard situation and forced him to play Royce White.Just quoting this to make sure it doesn't disappear up the page. Don't want to start a separate thread on it and fracture discussion, but everybody should read this...and weep.
I did, and I did.
This was probably the most uplifting part of the article:
As one rival general manager said late Sunday night, "How is Cousins having viral meningitis Malone's fault? With [Malone] gone, that's one less well-prepared team to worry about now."
"Fire Petey" chant?I wish the fans would make their voices heard at the next game, but you don't normally see any sort of organized protest on these things.
I'm beginning to dislike Mullin more and more. Go ruin someone else's franchise
Del Negro? I'd rather have them hire Becky Hammon. I'm not even kidding.Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Another long-term candidate to monitor for the Sacramento Kings coaching job, league sources tell Yahoo Sports: Vinny Del Negro.
For **** sake! What is this crap?!
You should stop holding back so much, and tell us how you really feel.If I lived closer you I would come out and you WOULD hear me. I'd chase Mullin and his little disciple right out of the building. ****ing smallball loving never won a ****ing thing in their entire career wusses. Get the **** back to your loser franchises with your loser pretty boy gutless philosophies. You're not welcome here anymore. Scram insects.
Oh god Mullin is in the frame for the job according to Woj.
Ok. So the chatter is saying that he was fired because his philosophy was different than that of the front office. That he was a defensive coach and the front office and ownership wanted an uptempo style. So my question is this. Why did vivek hire him in the first place? He knew what kind of coach he was from his days at Golden State. If he really liked Malone, then why didnt he hire a general manager that fit with that. Or why did he hire a coach before a general manager. The root of this issue lies at the feet of vivek for making this mistake in the first place. This was screwed from the very beginning and was doomed to fail
