Cousins likes him.

So, here's a thought to ponder: Ty Corbin has been gone the past three games. He tore his achilles and is facing surgery. Coincidence that the Kings have struggled or proof that assistant coaches are vital to success?
The only coincidence is cousins being gone. Jeez go ask jazz fans about Corbin he got bashed his whole time there.
His rotations may be questionable...but to me this ..again...show the need for 3pt shooting and some kind of low post presence on both sides of the ball
Have you considered that might be because the random bench players aren't that good?Magic on the road without their best player but they are beating the Kings.
Pathetic coaching by Malone. Every team has injuries and adversity but Malone has no clue as to what to do. When we are up or when we are down, just stands on the sidelines throwing random players in hoping it makes him look good.
Sometimes that word is appropriate when responding to a post/thread. It is indeed, very foolish to judge a coaches work without their best player.I am amazed and pleased at how people came to Malone's defense. I would never use the word asinine in describing something another Kings fan posted.
(The truth is Boogie probably got it from those adorable kids he had with him on the road trip).

Malone should have told Boogie to not get meningitis. Terrible coaching on his part.
Say what?? Pete only had so many bullets to fire and has used all of them to great effect. He got Gay and DC, who have transformed this team. Sessions and Landry you can take issue with, but they showed last night that they can contribute to winning (some) games, which is all you can ask for guys at the end of the rotation. The Casspi pickup was also great.
Ben is playing well and Nik shows limited potential. We won't be able to assess those picks for a couple years, but right now I'd say he's done okay in the draft.
Seriously, do you have any serious complaints about the job he's done? He took probably a bottom 5 nba roster and built one that has a winning record through 20 games against the best in the west
I kinda came off a little strong, I just dont think its fair to pin this all on Malone.
And I agree, Pete has done a good job. He's made some missteps, but at this point his good moves outweigh his bad.
I think I'm still a bit peeved that PDA was thinking his job was done during our hot start, when one look at the roster would tell you that it is far from done.
He's given us a great, balanced, starting 5. Its the bench that needs a ton of work.
Nothing happens overnight. I have confidence in Pete, which isnt something I could say before this last offseason. But it is unfair to blame Malone when the roster remains a huge work in progress.
There are only a couple things I question about Malone. 1. is was he not able to get the most out of PPat and Greivis (I know he was coming off an injury) or was there something else going on? 2. Is if he plays favorites, prefers vets or what is going on. I'm not completely sure about his rotations and why he does what he does.
I must have missed something. Why do you believe that he thought his job was done?

I'm not one who really feels a need for a motion offense or movement as much as some here, not when Cuz/Rudy are both out there as you ride supreme talent, but when Cuz is out now is the time to see it. We don't have other options here.

Now, obviously I am being a being super hyperbolic and extreme with my interpretation of PDA's quotes, as is my right as a flighty, opinionated, message board poster.
It wasn't really my intention to bash PDA. I used to be a hater, but I've really warmed up to the guy. And we don't really have a lot of trade-able assets on the team right now. Roster improvement will (hopefully) come over the summer with FA signings.
I just don't think it's fair to hate on Malone, when really, Cousins being out is just highlighting the HUGE holes that remain on our roster, as well as how inconsistent our bench is.
That being said, the team is looking waaaaaay better than the junk that was trotted out during the last ten years of the Magoof/Petrie era.
You keep a line up of Landry (-3), Sessions (-12), Williams (-11), Nik (-8), and Hollins(-8) on the floor late in the 4th Q ?
We had solid 6 point lead and they went up the floor 6 or 7 times and came up empty handed.
Well actually Collison was out there with that unit for most of the 4th quarter and Sessions came in when the starters started returning to give DC a breather.
Nothing to do with coaching, if we are not able to control the defensive glass and missing a bunch of FT's and of course keep turning the ball over on stupid plays all the time.
