Mike needs to put out more nights with this kind of output

good teams won't let him get so many points with so "little" effort.

BTW - askin Mike to do thid all the time is just insane and it won't happen. Somebody else needs to share the load and soon

sure, but his efficience decreased. You do that over the whole game and it looks diffetently
Yeah it looks like 36 pts. 9 in the quarter, Piksi. He's dropped over 30 4 out of the last 9 games, he's stepping up, there is no way around it.

;)

Um, what is a turnip? What happened to Bibby? I read he came back into the game so whatever a "turnip" is, it does not require surgery.
LOL in order to avoid a Jinx the comon euphimisim arround here for situations like Bonzi and SAR'S is "Turnip"

I agree the entire team needs to pick up the slack and contribute to consistently win night after night.

What happened in the other 5 ?

His team is not winning

Look I don't want discuss this tonight because he had a career game offensively and he pretty much won the game alone. Let's just enjoy that for tonight. There will be enough opportunity as this dreadfull season goes on.

Alone??? That's crap. Kevin tied his career high with 22 pts, and had a career high 10 rebs for his 1st ever NBA double double, and you say Bibby was alone?

while Kevin certainly deserves praise for his game and effort - it was Mike and Mike alone

And Brad had 21/12/7. That's a very nice offensive game from him too. Yes, Bibby had a fantastic game, but he was not entirely alone out there tonight as far as nice performances. Kevin and Brad were solid support tonight.

We are 5-4 in these last 9. It's a start.

start to what ?

5 wins - Clippers twice, Boston, Houston, Orlando - none of them a quality win. Great wins if You are Kings but none of the a "quality" one.

Now we have 8 really tough games. A 4-4 would be a miracle

And still better than we were for most of the season. Baby steps. Plus, any win for us is a quality win, we are one of the worst teams in the league.

Apparently that "side" issue with Kevin is a hip pointer injury. Hopefully, its not too bad, he's young and he'll be ready for Tuesday. I hope Bibby will be ready too, but that was a nasty fall to the floor he took. Bet they are both sore in the morning.

HC, thanks for response. I thought I would have to delve into my gardening books to see what kind of damage a turnip could do.:)

It would be if we get 4 games. I would live with 1-7 if we beat LA.

We had great referees tonight. Won't happen very often

We better beat LA, losing to them would be a bigger dissapointment than this whole pathetic season.

absolutely

I would sit out Mike and Brad against the Suns just to make sure nothing bad happenes

piksi, were you watching the game. While Mike had a fantastic night, to say the win was Mike's alone is just ludicrous.

Bibby..........42, 1, 4, 0, 0.....56.5% shooting
Brad...........21, 12, 7, 1, 1....45.4% shooting
Kevin..........22, 10, 2, 1, 0....55.5% shooting

Look at the rebs alone. Mike had 1. Without rebs by the other guys, Mike doesn't take near as many shots.

Take away the points scored by other's, and Mike gets his butt whipped by the Magic. This is the Sacramento Kings we are talking about. It may be the L.A. Kobe's, but it sure as hell is not the Sacramento Bibby's.

It was a TEAM effort. Fortunately, the guys were smart enough to keep feeding the hot hand. That too, is teamwork.

I see Your point, I really do but You take away the refs and all the bad calls that went in our favor - and not much is left. Look at FTA tonight.

I usually say that Mike should send his half a paycheck to Philly.

Thonght every Kings player needs to send theis to Mike Bibby. He made them look good in many more ways than just scoring and passing.
All those guys were there against NOH and what did they do ?
Our problem is that we get excited when out center gets 10 rebounds. Howard had at least 18 but that is normal.

I was hoping that Pedja and Mike can have games together like Mike had tonight because that was our only chance for a decent season. Pedja is just "screwed up " in so many ways and Mike is good for 25-30 wins because bad teams will let him and he is too goos not to take advantage.

I don't want to make other contributions insignificant - I really don't. They are more than welcome. they only matter if "main guys" bring it - in this case - the main guy.

And yes I have watched the game

Martin/Bibby/Brad were terrific

Good win

Don't know if I'd call an eked out win against a terrible team missing its best player on our home floor "good". But it was a "must". There is no more teasing though. Games like tonight, like Houston, should not be lost by any team in the league, and we barely pulled them out. They're just a baseline as to whether you even bother tuning in to the next game. Now Phoenix, far far from unbeatable and missing their best player too. But that would be a good win. An actual victory over an opponent who we probably shouldn't really beat.

No, I can't call it a "good win," either. We barely beat another bad team. But these days, a win is a win and I'm happy for it. Still feels better than a loss.
