Live Webcam of an African watering hole - Very Cool

I'm hearing some howling/yelping right now. EDIT: It's sounds more like baboon grunts.

pretty cool. I'm just hearing lots of noises right now but I'll just keep it on and hopefully some animals show up some time :D

Ok I hear some (monkey?) noises and really loud grunting (like a gorrilla?! i don't know) and other stuff! hopefully they show themselves!

but this is getting interesting LOL

I'm seeing all kinds of stuff going on right now. It's just starting a new day there. Sun just came up.

I saw a group of buffaloes (?) about 20 minutes ago, maybe. They passed by and then a lone buffalo (?) drank water and passed by 2 minutes after the group.

haha pretty cool thing to do when you're bored. of course I'm not just watching the webcam. I'm watching TV, and also trying to get some homework done. ;)

No action, but a lot of birds.
It sounds like the Tiki Room at Disneyland!

4 zebras wondering around now.

Very cool! Not much going on now - must be middle of the night because all I'm seeing are bugs zipping in front of the camera, but still cool!

nevermind. the guy zoomed out now and so i'm seeing a group of deer. 2 deer are racking horns again.

zebra time lol. 5 zebras running and then deer running in the background. pretty cool sight!

the zebras just chased away the group of deer.

now we're back to waterhole and no animals.

As usual, dial-up makes it almost impossible for me to view this. I did try, though, and was treated to a moment of very loud monkey screeching. My cat nearly had a heart attack.

Cool site.

:)

The most exciting thing I've seen so far have been car headlights going by in the background! LOL:p
LOL That's always a welcome sight at the African watering hole, I'm sure.

And Prophetess, I thought I was seeing them too, and maybe I was, but I ended up concluding that it was either birds or bugs because some of those shooting stars were doing the weave. ;)

I, too, think the "shooting stars' are either birds (likely) or maybe bats. Some flame into the ground. I'm assuming its something like a bird of prey attacking some poor creature on the ground.

The sun appears to be rising. If its eastern Africa, that's about 11 hours from Pacific time zone, I think. So 5:15 Am?

zebra galore!

there must've been about 10 of them.. maybe more?

at first there were only 5 drinking, and then another group stopped by.

pretty cool.

they're gone now.

monkeys!!! lots of them!

you can definitely see lots of animals during the day time

has anyone ever seen one at night anyway? I never have.

there's like a group of buffalo crossing and then a lone zebra on the other side. I wanna see how they interact. but it doesn't look like they will

Lots of zebra activity going on right now...getting in the water.
And gnus, including a baby. Gnus and zebras travel together.:D I believe its the zebra that have good eyesight and the gnus with the good sense of smell. So together they have both early warning systems for predators. :)

No deer in Africa, but many varieties of antelope, some do look a bit like deer.
