What happened, piksi?
lakers have absolutely no bench - none whatsoever

refs let them play, didn't call much which is disadvantage for the softer lakers. Shaq and Varejao and even "Z" were able to keep kobe out of the paint. When lakers realized that they have no chance - they switched to dirty mode. Like a little spoiled kid when you take away his favorite toy. You add typical Phil BS where when he was asked why they are down 20 after 3/4 - his response was - "I can't tell You because last time I did - they fined me 50k or so"

Cavs bench shot 14-21 and Z was 1-6 so You do the math.

We looked so much better against the Cavs on both ends of the floor. Probably won't mean much tomorrow. lakers are way too arrogant and expect that they will be given everything. Fisher is not a flopper anymore he is a dirty flopper now. Just couldn't handle the abuse that Williams handed to him.

Like I said - we have a real shot here but I am afraid that the Refs will have some pressure to make things "right"

So called laker fans are such hypocrites and they have 0 class which we already knew. Can you imagine - they didn't like so many no calls on Shaq and they felt like he needed to foul out in the first quarter  Don't remember bothering them when Shaq was their player.

Thanks for the summary. What's interesting is that a lot of Laker fans are posting similar kinds of assessments on one of their boards, even saying that Laker fans who blame the refs are denying the obvious...they have no bench.

I've got the DVR set again and will watch it tomorrow morning, with the luxury of being able to fast forward through all the drivel.

The atmosphere tomorrow night will be incredible. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I still might get tickets(sisters bf works at arco), because this game will be INTENSE.

I don't know how good our chances are going into this game, but I always get nervous when we play an elite team right after they have lost. Elite teams rarely lose 2 in a row, and I think the Lakers will come in pissed off. Add artest returning to Arco, and we definately have our work cut out for us. I could easily see Artest getting a little to hyped up for this game, and jacking up a bunch of forced shots.

Win or lose, I'm excited to see how our young team responds to the challenge. I know someone in this thread said the lakers are soft, but Bynum, Artest, Kobe, and Fisher are anything but soft. They will come out and try to punch us right in the face. This young Kings team doesn't seem to get intimidated, and never gives up. Makes for a hell of a game.

TYREKE EVANS ALSO HATES THE LAKERS!!!!

"I used to miss school because of that rivalry," the Philadelphia native said. "The games were on so late in the East Coast, that it seemed like we were up all night. My cousin was a Lakers fan, and I never liked the Lakers. I was rooting for the Kings. Bibby, Vlade, Christie. They had a great squad back then. That's when you could hear the cowbells on TV. We're trying to bring that back."-Tyreke Evans

Hi all,

first time poster, long time reader. Tomorrow will be my first game at ARCO since I was a kid. I am sooooo excited. Does anyone know how early I can/should arrive at ARCO?

p.s. are there any rules about bringing in cowbells that I should be aware of?

As long as it's loud enough to annoy Phil the Pill, it's all good. Ummm, it's been a while since I've checked but I believe Arco's doors open two hours before tip-off. Have fun!

Game time is 7 p.m. so the doors will open by 6 p.m. That could be 5:30, but I won't swear to it. Cowbells have always been allowed. Just don't be obnoxious and ring them on every play. Ringing it whenever Kobe has the ball or Phil calls a time out should do it (especially if you are behind the Lakers bench). Bwahahahahaha!

I'm not sure but we may be taking about different things. I'm talking about being fearful of something untoward happening because of Artest's intensity and desire to prove himself in front of the Arco crowd AND an injury occurring to one of our young guns because of Kobe's proclivity for throwing elbows with abandon (and without the resulting foul you would expect).
What are you talking about...Kobe...being dirty because he knows he has the refs in his back pocket(especially in crunch time)...I have NO idea what you're talking about!?!?!:D

There's usually a tail gater or two in parking lot K. They pop up about 2 hours before game time. Used to be alot more though.

haha well, that is incredibly out of my price range. would my best bet be to scalp or is that not reliable?

I would NEVER advocate giving your money to scalpers, only partly because it is illegal. Having said that, I see scalpers there sometimes, and they are conspicuously absent at times too. While you never know, they would be more likely during high excitement games such as this. No guarantees bro.

Not really reliable, and (as a disclaimer) not condoned.

Ron Artest will not play tonight after suffering an injury from tripping on a box and follow down stairs.

So, they're playing without injured Artest and ejected Odom? If it's like that, we have a real chance to win tomorrow! We just need good D on Kobe.

Evans bought me with his statement. It doesn't happen so often that player in the NBA is actually a hard core fan of his team.

You mean tonight ;)

Why did I type follow instead of falling? It must be the hangover from all that food yesterday. And, I'm back to not being able to edit posts. Well it was nice while it lasted haha.

The "idiot" wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at Artest. :D

Edit: Oh, you weren't concerned about that. Never mind.

It is kind of funny what is "Condoned," and what is not "Condoned."

Go seell your tickets on stub hub for 300% above the face value..... condoned.

Buy your tickets for 50% above face value from a scalper...... not condoned.

Rob a bank of 500 dollars,... go to prison.

Commit your crimes on the stock market.... pay a fine.

Anyways, if you really want to go to the game tonight, there will be people selling more reasonable tickets for you to have a chance to see the game.

I will be at a party and have to wait to watch the game on the dvr when I get home. Kind of sucks.
