so artest isnt playing because he tripped on a box and fell down a flight of stairs. he had to get stitches in the back of his head, damn... thats a big dude, to be able to watch him fall must have been hilarious. dangerous... but hilarious.... sucks that he wont be playing.
Okay, am I really the one who who read the article and wondered if he really tripped or if he was perhaps pushed? It wouldn't be the first time something like that happened in the Artest household.

i dont think that he fell, thats why i thought the idea of seeing someone so big fall down a light of stairs was so funny. i guess he really doesnt want to get booed by the fans. that might cost the lakers the game because we know that he wouldve ended up guarding evans.

I think you missed my point entirely. Since the reports are saying he has contusions and actually needed stitches in his head and arm, I don't think Artest was worried about being booed by the Kings fans, which IIRC actually invigorates him anyway. What I was implying - and probably improperly so - was that perhaps he and Mrs. Artest had yet another lively debate about something.

So, they're playing without injured Artest and ejected Odom? If it's like that, we have a real chance to win tomorrow! We just need good D on Kobe.

Evans bought me with his statement. It doesn't happen so often that player in the NBA is actually a hard core fan of his team.
Is Odom playing tonight? I thought he was.

I'm thinking tonights game has a chance to spark back up the Kings/Lakers rivalry back to the old days. The Tyreke Evans era is here baby! Lets upset these fruitcakes in yellow. Go Kings!!!

Just the usual reminder: If we do get any Laker trolls posting in this thread, please use the "refer a post" option and they'll be dealt with by one of the moderators (which, looking at who's here right now, means me).

GO KINGS!!!!!

They're introducing the Lakers and I'm glad to say that while there are obviously SOME Laker fans there, they are not louder than our Kings fans. The "boo" for the Lakers was heart-warming.

:p

TYREKE EVANS ALSO HATES THE LAKERS!!!!

"I used to miss school because of that rivalry," the Philadelphia native said. "The games were on so late in the East Coast, that it seemed like we were up all night. My cousin was a Lakers fan, and I never liked the Lakers. I was rooting for the Kings. Bibby, Vlade, Christie. They had a great squad back then. That's when you could hear the cowbells on TV. We're trying to bring that back."-Tyreke Evans
Awesome!

Kings definitely need to keep calm and not let their emotions run wild. They can't make any mistakes and still win.

A little too hyped at the start, but they are hustling.

Hawes, take the ball OUT when you're in there surrounded by 4 purple shirts.

Too many Laker fans in the stands, and many appear to be incognito based in the colors. I only see a handful of yellow, but it sounds like there's a lot more, but not dressed as Laker fans. Chicken spits.
