knicks 1st round pick

Big Cuz 15

All-Star
i was hoping the kings would convince zeke to trade their 1st round + whatever for artest this offseason. it doesn't look like thats going to happen now with donnie walsh overseeing the team.

Don't kid yourself, not even Isiah is dumb enough to trade that pick for Artest.

First of all, he wouldn't even trade David Lee for Artest, what makes you think he values Lee more than a probable top 5 pick? Has he ever knowingly traded a pick that high?

I think that Isiah's plan was to wait till Artest opted out after this year and then sign him without having to give up anything. A pretty big assumption on his part. Too bad. I think the Knicks would have been better with Artest, which is not saying much, and I think the Kings would have been better with Lee. One of those trades that might have helped both teams. I'm not sure how much the draft pick came into play. Anyway, we'll never know..

artest could opt out at the end of the season. jmo isiah wants some type of long term commitment. who knows, or your right he does value his draft picks

If i was a knick fan i would HATE isiah. Man i dont know if he could have done a worse job with all the money he had to work with. Odds are he will be fired no matter what he thinks will happen.

I think it could be possible if we traded our 1st for the Knicks 1st and he gave us Robinson and some how expiring contracts

If the Knicks want Artest then I would demand their 1st rounder and I believe they would consider it if their pick is in the 3-7 range. I might even be willing to take on a little dead weight for that pick. If we got Webber for Richmond then we can definitely get something better than just Lee for Artest.

I don't see the connection.

I'm glad the Knicks are in the lottery & hope Isiah will still be making draft decisions at that time. He excels at taking bad draft picks off the board as well as welcoming unwanted players with open arms. Wouldn't this be nice:

David Stern: "And with the second pick in lottery, the New York Knicks select Derrick Rose.

David Stern: "And we have a trade. The Sacramento Kings trade their pick, DeAndre Jordan, and will send Kenny Thomas to the Knicks' for Derrick Rose and cash considerations. In other news, the Maloofs will use this cash to absorb the cost of lower ticket prices for Kings fans."

God Bless you Isiah.
