Woo hoo! We're back. Thanks to Geoff for the reminder. A quick rundown of what I say every year:

This is year eight of the KingsFans "Official" Fantasy Basketball League.

If you'd like to join the league, just post here in the thread or send me a PM. People in the league last year get first option. Then comes people who've played in the past (but not last year), and finally there's usually room for KingsFans members who've never played in this league before but want to join now. Let me know as soon as possible if you want in to make sure you get a spot if one's available.

I'm the commissioner by default. Decisions are generally made by whichever preference is voiced most among those who pipe up, with ties and initial settings going to what we've done before. (And I'm always willing to cede commissionerness to any regular who'd like the job.)

The current draft time is set for Sat Oct 25 4:15pm PDT. As always, that is open to change if there are better times for everybody. Again please let me know your suggestions earlier rather than later. It is usually difficult to get a time that most people can agree on, though, so don't expect it to change (this is the time we've done it each of the last few years).

If you were in this league last year, hopefully you have been sent an invite. Please sign up or let me know that you don't plan on signing up so I can decide how many others to allow in and make sure we have an even number of teams.

Deadline for existing players sign up or let me know you plan to sign up is: Mon Oct 13 12:00pm PDT. After that time you can still probably get in the league, but I will start giving away spots to others so there is no guarantee.

To clarify though; this league does weekly scoring and not daily scoring, right?

That's right, this is the weekly league. We've done a second "Official" league as a daily in the past, and I'd be up for that again, but this particular one will probably remain a weekly.

Cool... you're first on the list. I'll wait a few weeks to make sure the regulars get their spot, but there's a good chance you'll be in. The rules are on the site and listed at the end of the first post. If you need any clarifications just let me know.

Nahh... he loses every third year. Unfortunately last year was that loss, so he's in line for another win. And I'm not sure we have a chance, that's just how the fates want it. I know from experience he's won with luck and not skill. ;)

Think that was bad I went from champion to second to not even in the league anymore ;)

Kind of felt bad, I knew I was going pretty busy in the next couple months but yesterday was the draft and I ended up being pretty free. I'll be back next year. Maybe.

Just an extra reminder (thanks to 1 TeAm DiMe 0):

This is a weekly league. All roster changes for each week need to be done before Monday morning.

This week appears to be an exception, since I just set my roster. But after that they cut off editing your roster very early Monday morning so make those changes before you go home Friday or at home Sunday if you like to procrastinate like I do.
