Well we probably want to wrap this up sooner rather than later. I was kind of expecting more entries but the one we've received is excellent. I guess we'll have a vote regardless (with the current logo as an option) although at this time it seems kind of pointless.
Working backwards...
CruzDude needs the design by next Monday 2/8.
I would like a couple of days to work with the winner to "tweak" a few things (to get the header to blend nicely with the header template) and get the file in a few different formats. So lets say the voting needs to be done by Friday. Two days should be enough for voting, so.... if anyone else would like to submit an entry you have until first thing Wednesday morning.

I'd like to have a site slogan in the banner. In the one submission so far it would probably go where it says "Sacramento Kings Forums". I'd like to have something that doesn't focus solely on the forums.
As an example in the past I had: "The Original Sacramento Kings Online Community"
Any other suggestions?

It needs a logo for the KingsFans.com. Work with that a bit? And, I really like the way cstorm colored in the words Kingsfans with purple and black. It made it stand out.

So I like the overall design of this one better, but I prefer the picture of Tyreke that DeMoN used.

I didn't realize you couldn't use the Kings logo. I guess that nixes DeMoN's design off the bat?
I seem to remember a really great picture taken by Double K at the VSL of Tyreke blocking a jump shot, but the stuff has been taken down from Flickr. I'll PM to see if that image can be resurrected. Maybe it could be useful.

In overall visual design, I like more cstorms' but I agree the photo of Tyreke holding the Kings name in his shirt from the Bulls comeback game that DeMoN used should be the one to appear. It resumes it everything about these Kings. And I also love the "Rise Up Sacramento" slogan a lot more than "The best fans!". So it's almost a tie for me.

I think both.
You cannot use any tradmarked image. This includes the Kings logos and the name "Kings" on the front of the jerseys. Technically, they can even get after you for using the NBA logo itself (Jerry West's silhouette)...
