[Game] Kings @ Wizards, 2/09/14 6 PM EST, 3 PM PST

Sarcasm seems to be more the norm than anything else. I suppose we are supposed to be happy because IT is proving to be great.

If IT doesn't score we lose by 25 or 30, Cousins laid an egg and Gay was clearly out of it. IT and the bench are the sole reason we made it interesting for a little bit, and if you watched this game and come to the consensus that all IT does is score, than you are clearly watching with a bias.

I like Demarcus and Rudy but they shouldn't have re-entered the game in the 4th, they both were off tonight & we should have kept the guys who were playing with energy.

I don't think the big two are feeling IT right now.

I think this is a huge problem that may be true. It doesn't make any difference who isn't feeling IT as long as it is one of the two or both. I think it is naive to believe that the polarization in this forum concerning IT is not an issue within the Kings team. Are we that different than them? I'm not saying who is right and who is wrong. I am simply saying the team may be divided and the attitude of two of the team are more important than others. If any of the Kings are as angry as some of the posters (why not?), there's a huge problem that simply won't get better if the team is left intact.

"A house divided against itself cannot stand."

I was simply explaining a note. I didn't say what my attitude was.

How many players on this team actually WANT and DO what is required to win? I have heard a lot of them talking they want to win but I still don't see it consistantly in there actions on the floor. There's just so many little things we don't do that murders us. Having a off game is one thing not trying is another.

Here is what I think about IT and why I have always been a fan. You will never ever see a game where he doesn't try. Everyone else but Acy can't make that claim. I will run with that as long as I can. This is a man's game and he plays that way good or bad. We should make that work for us. I hope the rookie coach doesn't get a towel in his face anytime soon.

Is it coaching then? Maybe Malone could do a better job getting effort and creating a locker room of players who want do whatever it takes to win. Egos are getting in the way in my opinion.

My note was about the team and not IT.

Nah you can't force someone to compete, that has nothing to do with Malone. Malone can't teach effort and basketball IQ that's on the players.

Honestly we didn't deserve to win or have a chance of winning anyway, the Ben missed lay up was justice for the sorry excuse of a effort half the team put in.
Half? Everybody but the two stars put in good effort.

I don't like IT. I think the team will be better if we lose him whether by trade or he just leaves. That being said, we have been very, very hard on him tonight to the point of being unfair.
Disagree, to an extent. Cousins and Gay haven't gotten half the criticism they deserve in the [Game] thread tonight, but the criticism on Thomas has been quite fair, in my opinion. It speaks to my biggest problem with him: even when he puts up big numbers, he doesn't actually make his teammates better. Even Russell Westbrook can get eight assists, when the ball's super-glued to his hands. Even when he gets assists, he rarely puts his teammates in position to score easy baskets. Thomas' numbers are like cotton candy: they taste good, but the offer little in the way of sustinence.

Now, with that said, was Thomas' hero-ball the reason we lost? No. The reason we lost was because Cousins and Gay stunk the joint out. But anyone who tries to make the case that "we wouldn't have been in it without IT" is just grasping at straws. We weren't in this game, regardless. This game was lost when Cousins and Gay decided to no-show and, short of Malone speeding the game up, and Thomas playing more like '05-'06 Nash than '05-'06 Iverson, there wasn't **** that could have been done to make that otherwise.

Had occurred to me.

But those are easy stories to make up, so you just don't know.

Very true. but the guy does live in DC, and i know DeMarcus likes to hit clubs, i have seen him once myself, and have heard from buddies who like to go to the clubs a lot, that they have seen him at least 3 times

Oh good. DMC has an off-night and now it's about attacking his work ethic and character? WTF? Hey, why not bring out the rumors about him abusing his dogs?

smh

i am not attacking his work ethic or character lol. Just saying there is some evidence of his poor play today, Sorry for the confusion, i do see how my comment could be misinterpreted into that

i personally think its either that he got the flu from one of his teammates, or he is taking the All-Star snub the wrong way. Because he has looked pretty terrible in the last 2 games despite the great box score in Boston

Here's what I simply don't get. You claim IT always tries but others don't. HWhat is it that leads you to this conclusion? The number of shots he takes or makes? Anybody who plays 40 minutes a game can throw up 20+ shots. And it's not like IT always hits a good % of them. So what's next - rebounding? Sure. Playing hard to get other guys good looks? I don't think anyone in their right mind would say that. Putting in defensive effort? Last I checked guards were having their way with us every other game. Getting T'd up?

Seriously sometimes I wonder whether it's just because he's short and yells "AND 1!" really loudly that people get this impression that he always tries (whereas others don't). All fans like you see is him gunning shots and sometimes shooting us back into a game, at which point he usually chucks a pull up shot that kills our momentum anyway, and you equate that to the guy having heart and what not. The guy is the frikin smallest and quickest guy on the court at any time - he should be getting after loose balls far easier than the rest! How does that equate to trying while others don't?

Clearly Cousins asked Wall yesterday to give IT a lot of freedom as his stats were slipping lately, and so was his trade value...:D:p
P.S. Mild flu symptoms mixed mild hangover might be better defender than Marc Gasol.

IT is on a crappy team with pretty much zero guard options other than him. Don't hate the player; hate the game. He is getting carried away right now because this team is nod big crap sandwich...owners and coaches included.

Really? This is no joke I presume. Crappy owners?? What's the point of this post?

Not sure if trolling

This team stinks top to bottom...my favorite team sucks and I don't see it changing anytime soon .

Please, stop with the trolling comments. Nobody likes this team more than me.

You have an interesting definition of the word "evidence."

I find the veracity of this statement to be highly questionable, to say nothing of inflammatory.
