I take full credit for this win: last time, I accidentally left my "Beat L.A." hat at work, and didn't have it for the game. This time, I wore it the whole second half.

I'm sorry. I'm going to steal some of the credit. I went back old school for my avatar. And Vlade was in STA. :)

Won but it was the Lakers. That kind of defense isn't going to win us many games. 4th quarter D was solid though

Ben with 23pts 8 rebounds and nice defense!

You can go ahead and be happy that we beat the freaking Lakers without it diminishing your general discontent with the front office.

That's exactly what I'm doing, still think the FO has low BB IQ and that we're in for a ride but it's always a good day when we beat the Lakers.

Thank you, Ronnie Price. The turning point was when the Kings were 11 points down with 5:20 lft in the 3rd and Price slammed Collison in the mouth on his layup attempt. That woke up Collison, who promptly decided to take the game personally and really got after it on D. The rest of the Kings appeared to also wake up out of slumber and play the game with some passion. It also helped that both Gay and Cousins found some patience in their offense game and didn't force things nearly as much as what they had previously. The Collison to Cousins to Gay to McLemore for a 3 play was beautifully done. Cousins was of course the man in this game. Kobe sucked. The Lakers sucked. Kings win. Yay!

To be fair, how many absolutely crazy shots did Kobe and Young take and hit tonight that were well-defended? Don't think the defense was nearly as bad tonight and those guys just hit some big shots

i was more worried about the easy baskets in the paint and the 2nd chance points

The defense stepped it up in the second half which was promising. The Kings needed a win in the worst way just for the sake of team morale even if they get massacred tomorrow in the Bay. On a more positive note; this is the type of aggression we need to see from Ben every night to take pressure of number eight and fifteen...some of his shots were head scratching but other than that I can't really complain, his dribble still needs obvious work but you can see his strides. Collison just goes out there and plays hard nosed defense and give you the 12-15 points a night which is what you want from him. Lastly, instead of making a big for Deron, how about going out there and getting the team a decent bench to work with.
