Reading all these post, you guys think that being 6th seed is BAD. Ok, who would you rather face in the 1st round of the Playoffs? Seattle? Spurs? Phoenix? Dallas? My choice = Seattle.
Another thing you have to remember is that the 6th seed isn't even a lock. We could just as easily land in 7th or maybe even 8th (although I doubt it)

Are You saying that the last possesion was a designed play ?

Mike did not even get one screen. There was nothing designed in that play
Yet another end-game situation where the Kings have time to call a play or draw something up and they end up basically having a broken play where it's only going to work if a guy makes an incredible shot. Look back at all the game-winners we've hit the last year, it's just a scramble and then a long jumper.

I don't disagree with you he was burning everyone. But don't you find it Ironic that RA switched it up to put Peja on J-Rich and he Shut him down completely... until that last play? He's arguably the best shooter on the planet and he can't even hit the rim when the game is on the line. (and it's not just this game)
Im not sure "best shooter on the planet" is a suite that feels very comfortable on Pedja this year. I think he will settle for consitant good shooter and decent defender.

Don't I find WHAT ironic? That Peja was rushed by Dunleavy, forced to put the ball on the court and move to the right - a move he absolutely hates BTW - and misses a shot?

Sorry, but I didn't see anything ironic about it and I'm not gonna dump on the guy for that play.

Micro-management isn't fair to any player, but especially not to someone who played a GOOD game. Name me one player on ANY team who has played without fault from start to finish.

This hyper-critical assessment of every single move Peja makes isn't any more fair than when people did the same thing to Webber. It was a team loss, not a Peja loss.

Avoid the spurs at all costs, we have a chance with other teams. But we should avoid those "defensive " minded spurs in the first round.

Well seeding doesnt matter.. we will win our first round no matter who we are playing... we just have to stay in the playoffs..

We had 8 seconds more that in that game to run something better, put a double screen so that Mike at least can see the basket. With 11 sec to go You have got to get a better shot than we did
That's fair.

Instead the coach allowed the team to do what they had practiced...allow Bibby to create. Screen would have been nice, but GS could not set there D. That's good too.

How bout best shooter on the planet for the 1st 3 quarters... does that work for you?

Instead of blaming Peja for taking that last shot, why don't you blame Adelman for not taking that timeout? <I'm not bashing Adelman, just trying to make a point>
I'd rather blame the TEAM for coming out and playing like a bunch of losers. They didn't even seem like they cared. They need to get over this laziness problem. They may have been able to get away with it in the past but as anyone can see, this is not that team anymore. If they plan on winning with this team they HAVE to play 48 minutes a game.

Fact of the matter is, we can look at a lot of game-winners because this team has won in those situations alot.

the bottom line... we're not winners!!!

the heat, the spurs or even the rox and mavs would've won this one...
we came back frm 21, had lots of chances to take the lead or to take and build a good lead (5-8 pts) dureing the third, and avoid the (so called)thriller but we didn't! we have to accept it..
without brad and bobby we're a nice team thats it... just another nice team in the west!!!

We played bad to start the game thats not acceptable, but does anyone think that shot is going in when Peja releases it? Honestly? IMO that is a bigger problem than the Kings not talking GS seriously out the gate.

Good post VF!!!

I'm glad Peja took the last shot, I hope he continues to do so. It's only through failure that you learn success. Next time he will be a little more composed. He needs to become clutch for us to go far and to take the pressure off Bibby. No point having one of the best shooters if he can't win games for us.

let us look at the positives everybody . K-9 , skinner and mobley played really solid . We wouldn't have been in that position without those rebounds , and points from the "new kings" on the block. I am really excited to see the future of this team with skinner as a backup when B-52 returns to the lineup. K-9 is a very underrated player in the league, cat needs to keep this hot streak going.

Long live the kings !!!

Why are you STILL blaming Peja?

I don't blame Peja, I think the overall shot selection in the last 3-4 minutes cost them the game. They were consistently scoring down low and then they started heaving it up.
