What else can be said about this stinkbomb!
If Kevin Martin ISN'T part of a trade before the deadline, the Kings are making a dramatic mistake! Martin does not WANT to PLAY for the Kings anymore.
His effort against the D-Leaguer C.J. Miles was PATHETIC! Kevin made no effort whatsoever! Not even a token run out to get a hand up. He just stood there and allowed shot after shot without guarding his man. It was demoralizing to the rest of the young team mates. The rest of the Kings played decent, but the Kings just didn't have enough to overcome the fact that they were playing 5 on 4 on defense! This is the Kind of loss that causes changes in the rosters or coaching crews. There are very few positives to be taken from this game. The team did not respond after the half trying to make it look better at the end of the game. There was no effort to play better defense . It was a total failure to compete. I have no idea how this was allowed to continue.
So at this point what do you do with Kevin Martin? He wasn't injured. He as lackluster on both ends of the court, and he helped allow a D-League Scrub CJ Watson score
FORTY FREEKING POINTS!!! Curry had a great game, A triple double in the third quarter. It was a very bad night for perimeter defense tonight. Evans didnt play all that well and K-Mart never got off of the bus! No tired excuses because the W's played last night too. So Kevin Martin is just so bad that he has to be benched. He is no team captain. He is no example for the young players. He is no bonus or benefit to the team at
ALL! The team was not following the coaches coaching. I saw too few plays run that were run effectively or correctly. The Kings are the worst team in the NBA once again, and the Warriors are a bad team, but they are better than the Kings period.
I WAS encouraged by the play of Cisco. He came in and played some decent defense, made some good shots, and played hard. Evans was making the effort to win. JT made and effort to win. Hawes made an effort to win. Cisco made an effort to win. Beno made an effort to win tonight. So
WHO WAS THE PROBLEM !!!! That would be:
KEVIN MARTIN !!
So if we know WHO the problem is, then we bench him till he gets the problems worked out so he can contribute to the team. OR if they are considering NOT trading him, lets go ahead and PULL the TRIGGER on the trade. Kevin needs a change of scenery. We need help in the Paint. A player that can defend as a center and rebound. If we need to trade Martin for that player. Lets go ahead and make the move. It seems to me that Kevin Martin has QUIT ON THE KINGS AND ISN'T WILLING TO PLAY HARD FOR THE KINGS ANYMORE. SO UNLOAD HIM ALREADY !!! THERE IS NOTHING LEFT FOR THE FANS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. TRADE HIM AND GET WHAT YOU CAN BECAUSE HE OBVIOUSLY IS NO LONGER A KING! HE IS A SELFISH INTROVERTED PLAYER THAT NEEDS TO BE CUT LOOSE AND USED AS A TRADING CHIP TO BRING US A QUALITY BIG TO HELP THE KINGS THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!
Good bye Kevin! Way to professionally bow out of town! What a JERK!
