I'm not sure which game Martin was worse in, Seattle or tonight. He's playing like a freaking scrub and it's got to stop. Everyone gets on Ron and Mike but atleast they don't disappear every other game. I hate to say it but Kevin is Peja v2.0. Pathetic.

I don't think that drawing the last Play for Ron was a good idea since there are enough guys who are better shooters than Ron

Our problem was that we had no consistency. Who do you pick when Martin isn't hitting and Garcia is in Sacramento?

edit: btw how olds that 6th man Dick Bavetta pic? and whos the guy holding it up? it isnt shopped right?

anyone but Ron basically. Even with bad shooting night - I give Kevin more chances of hitting it than Ron. Now if we needed a two instead 3 - then Ron would be a decent option right until VP or Dickie B mad a traveling call or offensive foul or something like that

He's had two that were close together. Whats the big deal? Other than that he's been pretty consistant all year.

Every other game???? what are you talking about, this is the first time this season this has happened. Dude is the leading scorer on the team and one of the best in the league. Take a deep breath and you will realize kevin is no scrub even though he had 2 bad games.

I don't think its a huge deal myself, except perhaps something to watch for either a) his place/interaction wiht teammates. The how effective is Kevin ona team wiht competition for shots thing. And b) the timing of it given his late slump last year. He had the long break with injury though, so that seems unlikely.

So this is most likely just a slump that he could very well come completely out of it tommorow even. Heck, Baron was just as bad offensively (4-19), but I think the difference being in the rest of Baron greatness, where he was atrocious offensively but still set up numerous teammates and made big plays, while Kevin is mostly just a scorer. It is also I think one of those things where I, who have never put Kevin up on a pedastal, don't really feel disappointed/betrayed when he has a crappy game, where perhaps some who do expect/ask too much view it as a bigger issue.

The Clips, Seattle, this game - all bad. Unlike the first two, I really think the terrible ref performance tonight had a lot to do with it. It's hard for Martin to perform well if he's getting hammered out there and nothing gets called. To me, lately he's been getting hammered more and fouled less, and when he does get foul he is getting HAMMERED. He's just not a bruiser who is built to handle that. I've noticed players just demolishing the guy and figuring that for the price of a foul or two they can beat him up and by the 2nd half he'll be wore out. This game was just like that - he got HAMMERED in this game. (Bibby got hammered too, and I didn't see him have a great game either). I expect that a lot of teams will continue to hammer him as long as they can get away with it. Over time Martin will develop more toughness because of this bruising, and probably better ways to protect from getting killed out there as well. Personally, I'd like to see Martin HAMMER one of his opponents as well and let him know that there is such a thing as payback. I never saw Ellis get clocked out there tonight; he had a free ride compared to Martin and Bibby.

Kevin does indeed benefit when the game is filled with B.S. touch and breathing fouls that have no place in a contact sport, but the Jazz game was rough as can be and he was just fine. Does not track. The Warriors are hardly ferocious physical beasts. They are quick however, and quick bothers Kevin much more than power.

Seriously. I feel like I'm constantly holding my breath at this point.

I will continue to state that Ron has been a relatively good citizen and member of the Kings organization since coming to Sacramento.

That being said, my eyes even widened a little when I saw him go in, get a foule then lay on the floor and go into a fit waving his arms crazily while on the floor, then pound his chest once on his feet.

Well were stuck in the middle anyways. We dont suck enough to drop into the dwellers of the league and when healthy I think were right there with the bottom playoff teams so might as well make it to the playoffs

Have you looked at the rest of the Western Conference? We're 10 games from even catching up to the very bottom of the playoff picture.

While I enjoy a win as much as the next person, saying we needed the game last night to make it to the playoffs is like saying I only need $750 million to buy the Kings.

;)

To take it even farther, it's like suggesting that finding a ten dollar bill under the couch is making significant progress toward that $750 million goal.

What are you guys talking about. We are like six games back of the warriors. Had we won it wouldve been around five games. You act as if were like 15-34 rather than 23-26

5 games in the Westen Conference is way too many. Look at what we have left to play. It just won't happen this season and maybe even next season. Other franchises have just been doing better job than we are these days

that's true piksi but we have a chance and that's all I can ask for. What happens before the deadline and in the offseason should determine alot. If they do nothing I'll be pretty dissapointed
