[Game] Kings @ Warriors (3/24/12)

Our guys fell apart there. How the freak did Richard Jefferson get that open? And I thought we had a timeout left? That's what Grant said after GS fouled IT... Couldn't we have called it after that Jefferson breakaway dunk?

Well, Smart said he was looking for a closer...my guess is that it will be Hayes's turn next time.

There were so many mental mistakes in the last part of the game but one of the biggest was not calling timeout on the last possession. WTF? They had 1 left. Unacceptable.

What's wrong with T-Will in? He isn't a scrub off the street. He is a former lottery pick. Besides the turnover he committed, he played pretty good with strong D.

i think everyone but jimmer and outlaw got some burn tonight, how are players supposed to develop a rythm and know there roles when the line-ups are pretty much random. and when a player like klay is burning us all smart does is jump around and point, is the jumping and point gonna make MT grow 3 inches to stop klay.NO. how about actually coaching and switching someone else onto him.

Did he really? Reke was standing to the left of IT and IT didn't even look. Just dribbled, dribbled, dribbled. MT was standing in the corner. No effort to get either the ball, yet both have hit game winners. Smart has used that excuse a few times. How about getting the ball into the hands of your best players and not a cold IT or a guy on a 10 day contract!!

Sure, he is pretty good. But what he doesn't have is a lot a play time with the current group which leads to miscommunications and turnovers.

Yeah, really. It was a post-game comment, I know it's referenced here somewhere...

I understand that. But he was in for defensive purposes. No one could stop K. Thompson. It's not like he was in there jacking up shots. He was dishing off the whole time when he had the ball in his hands.

Yep that was my question as well. There's no excuse for that. We're not the 2000 Lakers. This young team, on the road in a close game, need that timeout!!

Why can't the closer be your best player or is there some Smartian rule that it has to be a guard? IT looks for his own shot and he always has. And why try out a new guy? It's like handing the game away.

I don't know that it was bad to put him in, but when and for how long-those are the issues.

If that was the case, why not MT, Reke, Cuz, or even Salmons? I know IT had some clutch plays in college but those guys have been clutch in the NBA

Early 2nd Qtr for a 3-5 minutes would've been ideal depending on the score and whatnot. Then determine his PT for the rest of the game based on that stint.

Look inside for DMC on that last play. The defense would have collapsed, and someone would have had an easy shot. Or go pick and roll Evans/DMC. Make the defense give you an option of Evans slashing or DMC with a pop or a post-up.

I love hindsight sometimes, but seriously Smart.
