That's fine. I agree that Tyrese isn't a superstar. I'm not sure what point-you're-pushing-back-against-that-I'm-not-making.

I'm not necessarily arguing with you or whatever you think is going on here. I was merely using your post as a springboard.

Pop not messing around he's attacking TT in pnr EVERY time now. Thompson got the block but this won't go away here.

Spurs playing Tyrese closer than they were in the first half and he keeps passing out of it instead of attacking.

That transition three from him there was nice but once the Spurs get set, he's starting to crumble.

My issue here is that Tyrese is like Draymond Green, an absolutely fantastic, charismatic glue guy. The thing is that if you ask Draymond to go out and win you a game, 9 times out of 10, he won't be able to do it on his own (hence the last two Warriors seasons). You surround him with other good players and he'll make those good players look great. That's currently Tyrese.

Yep, nailed it. Imagine how good Ty would look next to any superstar; Embiid, Steph, Luka, Giannis. Any of them. He's a connector that elevates the ceiling of those around him, but he's not a build-around because he doesn't have the elite #1 scoring option chops. Which is absolutely fine; CP3, Kidd, John Stockton, Steve Nash all built HoF careers in that role. But it's pretty clear in the run-out of all those amazing PG careers that they needed someone else to carry the scoring load.

He's absolutely making an argument he needs the keys to the offense though. His vision and involving everyone is absolutely noticeable. The ball movement has been outstanding the last 2 games.

Ah. Round n round we go.
Based on this, the only reasonable interpretation of your response to the question, "Why can't the Kings wait 3-5 years?" is, "I don't actually have an answer; I just like giving Chicken Little-esque hot takes."

Would be nice to have another point guard in there to give the defense a different look, but the best we got right now is Ramsey so I'll take that for a few minutes.

Underrated.

hali is a pure point guard
fox is a player who plays on a PG position
that's the main difference

do you remember any remarkable fox assist ?

Do you remember any remarkable Donovan Mitchell assists? The line between the shooting guard and point guard positions has blurred over the last ten or so years. De'Aaron's clearly been our "SG" for most of the season so I'm not sure what your great point is?
