[Game] Kings vs Raptors, 10/8/2025 7PM Pacific 10PM Eastern (Pre-Season)

Saw some promising things. Nique is going to be good. I likes Max and Cardwell as well. We still can’t guard the three. Oh well it’s preseason. I’m sure Doug will get the bugs worked out.

So... PG: Nique Clifford. 94 feet of pressure: Carter. Defensive anchor: Cardwell. There's some answers deep under all the other stuff.
Honestly, dangling Keon as trade bait for either draft assets or a wing/forward might be the real way for the Kings to clear up that guard logjam.

Cardwell is the type of big that makes it easy for his guards to rack up assists, he's just so smart getting to the open spot.
He’s got a lot of Montrezl Harrell/pre-push shot Richaun Holmes to his game. Guy knows he can’t shoot worth a damn so he’s just going to roll through the paint and force the issue regardless.

Praying for Deebo/Domas trade demands

Kids will actually lose in an entertaining way, and have the potential to grow.

Old man squad is gonna put up 115 a night while allowing 125 and just age out of the league after getting us a few more play-in losses.
If they want out I hope they have the decency to keep it private and let us get fair value. I feel confident Deebo is dealt before the deadline even if he bought an 8 figure mansion.

Keon in a contract year is probably something you want to hang onto. He's already a rotation level guy but never know, he could explode. It's on the vets now. They win or go home, and that don't mean play in .500 BS. If not get ready for more purgatory with no real direction. There is a young core they've put together that are pretty much everything they supposedly have set as a directive.

Did he buy a mansion in Sac? I saw a picture of his Chicago mansion, he’s a 13 bathroom kinda guy it seems

I think a good amount of fans would be ok if things don’t work out this year and we end up losing. BUT, this version of losing is so annoying to watch. I would rarher watch the other team make 100 layups than make 60 percent of their threes. We can’t blame Mike Brown or Luke anymore. Admittedly some of it is luck but we are on the wrong side of that too often.

They did, they ran tons of ball pressure knowing it was the Kings first game. A little cheap but the defense was what it was and on paper doesn't look to be a complete anomaly when compared to the main rosters abilities. Doug is testing a theory, that you can get non noted defensive players near or over 30 years of age to run a defensive system typically accented with high level defensive personnel that relies on athletic ability and physical capability. We'll see.
