You shake your head when they lose to Portland and LA but at least those are elite teams we're hoping to measure up to. There's no excuse for giving up 128 to New Orleans. Fox was killing it at both ends tonight but our front court was Charmin soft against Zion and Steven Adams.

Well I don't mind losing like this at all. See glimpses of Bagley being something special, Fox playing like an All Star, tank.

I have to agree. 5-9 now with the Clippers coming up again then an improved New York Knicks team followed by a 6 game road trip... it's looking more and more like we're headed for top 5 pick territory. And if we're going to keep giving up 120+ every game, that's probably for the best.

Not to derail the thread but there's a guy that kind of looks a little like a raw Giannis by the name of Scottie Barnes. Cade is good though. A slower Tatum to me.
Cade is like if Tyrese Haliburton and Harrison Barnes were fused into one extremely good player.

The Knicks is in a similar position as us, a young team learning to play, except they have a legitimate coach.

The issue is what kind of smoldering ashes of hope are you left with when in order to do it you had to become the worst defensive team in history? Getting into the draft shouldn't be salvation unless you are starting from scratch. The Kings aren't.

If we come out of this with one of Cade/Mobley/Suggs/Ziaire/Barnes/Green/Kuminga then having to watch a year of Luke wasting De’Aaron Fox’s career will have have almost been worth it.

As a fan incompetent is even better for my viewership lol. That way nobody can take away the ring if they ever get one since I’ll be able to say “I was a fan when they didn’t make the playoffs for 20+ Years (I hope it’s not long *cringe*).

Incompetence doesn't win rings. It's a braintrust whose brain you cannot trust.

If it makes anyone feel better the Celts lost to the Knickerbockers by 30 and the Dallas Doncics lost to the wa wa wa bulls. “Take solace in the pain of others” old Sactown proverb
Kemba also re-injured after coming back from injuries. So I guess that's misery loves company for you.

This is where it's dicey. Suggs fits where? Not that this is another guaranteed top 3 draft yet but the Kings aren't in a position to really just take BPA if it's a guard. I'm really liking what I've seen of Barnes and Greg Brown. This is a combo F draft for sure. Those can always fit! The Kings might luck out again if they keep the suckage up.

Thankfully, Suggs is like the one guy in this class who doesn’t really fit with Fox and Haliburton and if we’re picking three or wherever and he’s still available you can probably trade down a couple of picks and still grab a wing who will probably wind up being just as good an NBA player.
