Anybody else think that it is time to move on from the "treadmill" meme?![]()
Are you kidding me? I got a google doc with like 40 more of these bad boys left!
The good thing is that this recent streak of bad games has given me a chance to dip into the "painful injury" column of my treadmill gif collection after I nearly exhausted the "happy treadmilling" part of the list. The sad thing is what started as sarcasm is actually starting to become true lol
Call me an optimist but I think the Kings have a better chance of winning the second game than the first one. I'm expecting another tightly thought battle with the king's edging out the wind tonight. But mostly as usual I just want to see our team come out and play good ball for 48.

I appreciate the pettiness

Never thought they'd win both of these games so if the Kings can pull out a W tonight then I won't even remember what happened last night.
Anyone know why Vlade was at the game last night? Pretty fitting that MPJ went off to prove Vlades draft board as visionary
Hopefully not similar injury proneness, but I'd be happy if Murray turned into MPJ with better defenseI said it in the game thread but I could see Murray being a similar player to MPJ. Similar build play style and wet jumper. MPJ has a better midrange game but at the very least Murray could learn something from watching him…. At least on the offensive end

Yea last nights game was the one to steal considering how close the game was at the end. I wouldn't consider last night our best shot though. Definitely thought we could play a lot better. Our three point shooting was cold and our assist to turnover ratio wasn't all that good. The only silver lining about last nights loss is that teams coming off a loss will typically come out a lot more motivated especially playing against the very same team they loss to. We also know we could hang with them considering how close the last game was.Call me a pessimist, but I’m exactly the opposite. We gave them our best shot yesterday and it wasn’t good enough, and it certainly won’t be on the second night of a back-to-back.
Im not overly salty about it, they’re both superior and also have their best player. Though these are making me stew on the Charlotte and Washington lasses.
No, absolutely not. These are hilarious as is the topicAnybody else think that it is time to move on from the "treadmill" meme?![]()
Our 3pt shooting has been bad since the start of the road trip. Ran some quick numbers and we’ve shot 33% from 3 during that period, which has to be one of worse in the NBA. We all know Huerter, Monk, and Barnes have been cold, but it seems part of that is teams are forcing them to create tough shots and leaving others open. Murray has shot a lot better, but we need Fox and Mitchell to make more of their open shots. Teams are daring them to shot and it hasn’t been prettyYea last nights game was the one to steal considering how close the game was at the end. I wouldn't consider last night our best shot though. We may have jinxed ourselves into becoming a treadmill team though lol.No, absolutely not. These are hilarious as is the topic
Away games are always a lot tougher though. They are currently shooting 33.2% for away games and 37.6% for home games. I still think maybe we should be more selective in the threes we take though. Our 3pt shooting has been bad since the start of the road trip. I feel like Murray hasn't really been able to showcase his other offensive skills in the NBA because we're using him mostly as a jump shooter. I don't know how much he has scored in the inside using post moves in college, but judging from his college highlights he does have somewhat of a post game? Not sure how effective that would be in the NBA against bigger and more athletic guys. I'm more optimistic about him making a play in the post since that's what he has been more comfortable with than him improving on his handles any time soon. Handles seem like something that is harder to improve on and will take a lot of time to do so.Maybe in some ways yeah, but Murray will really have to work on those guard skills. MPJ can actually handle and create close to what you want from a modern wing. Also obviously MPJ is on another level completely than Murray is athletically especially with his first step.

I wouldn't go that far yet. The only thing of concern is Sabonis being injured and how many games he'll eventually miss. From the sound of things he maybe back sooner rather than later. After tonights game and then Utah, Memphis, Utah we'll have an easier schedule for our next 8 games with 7 of those games being against teams under .500. I know the Kings loss to the Hornets and Wizards recently but overall they have done a good job beating those under .500 teams. That should be the time to make up some ground. If we can't go on a good streak against those weaker teams during that stretch then yea.. we're in trouble.Team is very close to slipping back into the abyss
I don't think I would go to that extreme of an opinion yet. We are still on pace to get into the 40's as far as wins goes and we held our own against the best team in the West and really had chances to put them away.Team is very close to slipping back into the abyss
Why would you want Monte gone though? He hasn't done a bad job.Looking forward to another stellar performance in the box score. Don’t really have any interest watching a meh product on league pass (sunk cost) or going to games, even when they’re free (turned down a few great seats recently n will continue to do so until Monte is gone). This team is following the same arc as that Joeger team where the league adjusts n then abuses the them once they’ve adjusted. And:
