It would be nice if we get in on these buyouts. I guess our trade really was in that category. No reason to keep Len, KZ really, and I think if there was an opportunity to upgrade Dellavedova you take it.
My my first goal this year was 40 wins. That was the bare minimum. My next goal was the playoffs not play in. The first is almost assured and the 2nd is looking very promising. I dont think we should go overboard and jump off a cliff if going into the season we had similar goals. They are currently playing better than most thought going into the season. We are what we are and that is looking like a team that has the ability to be be top 6.
With that being said, i do believe critiquing the performance of the team is fair game based on their capabilities. We just need to understand what we are.

I had us around 44 wins, hopefully a 6 seed and a 50 ceiling. I think going nuts to get to 53-54 on a prayer would harm the long term core.
I won't put it past Monte to make a trade that is as shocking as Haliburton was in another 2-3 seasons, but that trade was the big huge move. You can't do those every year. Especially with a new coach and all the other pieces we brought in.
With only Fox awhile back Brown did go more pick and roll and Holmes did well. The issue is what the team looked like without Fox. They literally had almost no way of scoring without set plays. Those two games without Fox the Kings put up 104 and struggled to even do that.
Much different type of game with Luca in. Last night the mavs looked unstoppable because of the speed to which they were playing. Can’t do that with Luca.
Only two games to the All-Star break, second night of a back-to-back, back home after a seven-game road trip. I bet the Kings will fight to the end, regardless.
Mavericks closer to a 32-point pace rather than the 45 of the first quarter last night, so that's at least a bit of improvement. Let's hope we can continue improving on it rather than backslide.
