Kings VS Lakers 2002 GAME 4, 5, 6 & 7 ALERT!!

Nope. You're not the only one. Even thinking about those games leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth & a sinking feeling in my stomach. They were what they were, and it was an incredible series, but, no, I'm not ready to go back there yet.
I love the bitter taste and sinking feeling in my stomach. I don't love it as much as I love the pounding heart, racing adrenaline and excitement of winning, but that's what make sports fun. I totally understand those who aren't ready to relive that feeling, though.

One hint? Warn your family ahead of time. I guarantee you will scream obscenities at your TV.
:D

I'm a very quiet watcher. Maybe a few fist pumps and a yelp or two are all you'll ever get out of me.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to see any of these games this time around. :(

They didn't have to. I hate it when they do that. What's the difference between a 2 hour show and a 2.5 hour show? Why not cut the dead time between plays if you're going to cut something.

I'm rewatching the 4th quarter of Game 4 right now, and am still as flabberghasted by many of the calls NOW as I was THEN. The officiating in this series truly was ATROCIOUS!

How was that NOT continuation on vlade's last drive...fox TOUCHED his arm as he had a GAPING wide hole(Rick Fox is used to seeing those) to the hoop and he touches his arm and they call off the basket? That's GARBAGE.

what a game, next up game 5

I have seen game 4 before also but everything was all fuzzy to me because i was around 12 at the time...

I just need to watch game 6 again. I've almost forgotten why I hate the Lakers so much.

I do not hate the Lakers because of game 6. It was the officials that sucked in that one. I hate the Lakers because, as a Northern California-ite, it is the LAW. :D

DIE LAKER SCUM! :p

Interesting, since you've admitted on this very board that you're a Lakers fan.

I didnt say I wasnt a laker fan. I should have said that I was wearing purple and gold glasses, so I cant comment on you guys getting jobbed on game six.

I didnt think you got jobbed when I watched the game back then, so i really want to see the foul discrepency now that I have nothing invested.

Fair enough.

Amen brother, Amen!:D I dont need to almost have another heart attack by watching game 6, even 5 years after the fact. I take the good with the bad, but I sure as hell dont need to RE-LIVE the bad, history or not...that was one of the most painful days, emotionally, of my life...and the day after, too. It felt like my heart was ripped out and ran over by a Mack truck over and over again...something Laker fans will NEVER experience in their lifetime. Oh well, tis' the life of a Kings fan...we're just cursed...believe it or not, I honestly think its true.

edit: oh yeah, and they did it in 01-02 with Mitch Richmond sitting on their bench laughing all the way to the ring he never got here in 7 years.

Watching that team... so very good, but you can tell the Kings weren't quite ready. Even though it's a series they essentially won (Game 6 asterisk).

It always makes me sad because the next year the team was even better and with the experience of the prior year I have no doubt they would have won the title.

Ah well, part of being a fan I suppose. :)
