Different experiences. Barkley observed and actually played against prime Arvydas Sabonis on the international stage. I think he might’ve already been winding down and past his prime when he finally came to the NBA and Shaq mostly faced him in the last 2-3 years of his career.
Sabonis on two bum knees still gave Shaq all he could handle. lol.

Barnes going at Randle there is him recognizing Randle is trying to get into a rhythm. Barnes was trying to draw a foul knowing that Randle currently has three.

So many little vet things Barnes does that you wouldn't necessarily notice. Let's see if he does it again and successfully get the 4th foul on Randle.

In fairness, Shaq did concede that Arvydas gave it to him, when Barkley pushed back on him.

Thibs is sending his whole defense at Fox and Domas on that pick and roll now. I'd go back to having Keegan coming off those screens. They were giving him all the space in the world.

Kris played well in that loss today, coulda hit a few more 3's but he threw some great passes, definitely could fit here on the Kings cuz of that ball movement.

Ohio State is just a completely different animal when they get that kind of production from Bruce Thornton. Even with Sensabaugh being a potential top20 draft pick, Thornton is really the guy they need to step up to hang with the better teams.
Yeah OSU is talented and their record this year is more a result of playing in a league with a lot of experienced teams. Iowa probably locked themselves into an 8/9 after dropping these last two unfortunately. I thought if they had beat Nebraska at home Sunday to secure the #2 seed for the conference tourney, their first tourney game tomorrow would have likely been quad 1 and win or lose wouldn't really hurt the resume but they could maybe win themselves up to a 6 seed. That would give us a better than expected (preseason) chance at a sweet 16 which we haven't been to since 1999. Oh well. Good chance to win a game in the dance.
