Fox needs to refine his focus. Stepping up to the free throw line and looking around and chirping at guys, isn't going to help his percentage down the stretch. He's gotten into a habit of this. I hate to think of him costing the team with a crucial miss or two in a huge game, because he's not as focused at the line as he should be
Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think his focus is not thinking about it too hard. Which is why he does those things you aren't liking. It's helping to keep him calm and relaxed.

That's one thing I've always liked about Swipa -- he never looks nervous or anxious.

The fact that his FT numbers are improved and his "clutch" play in Q4 and especially the last 5 minutes are so good makes me believe he should keep doing whatever he is doing.

He pretty much took over the game the last few minutes and bailed us out from an epic collapse. I hear what you're saying but I also think it's part of the confidence/swag he has going on. A lot of the best players are built like this and can come across as cocky/arrogant but I think that's part of the secret sauce.
I almost always make the mistake of not reading further down the thread before replying. Because you basically said the same thing I was immediately thinking.

I think you are spot on. And as I stated in my reply, the results indicate that he's in a good frame of mind.

My only point is, I haven't seen any of the best free throw shooters doing a lot of looking around and talking at the line. It's a quiet focus. He's got room to improve and I'd bet his percentage would go up another tick
