He got Huerter an open look before that and he missed, so he also had the smarts to trust his teammate to not miss twice instead of play hero ball. I agree that most rookies aren't going to look for the open guy there. Sometimes (Kobe springs to mind) there is nobody else that wants to take the shot so you will give the young player a pass but in this case it was 100% the right play.

I just loved Keegan's pass to Huerter before the game winning three. Most rookies would have probably looked to play hero ball and hoisted the three on their own. Not Keegan. His high basketball IQ and team first mentality was on full display. Of course it helped that Huerter hit the shot :).

Great win.

100%....great awareness by him. I believe he made a similar pass at about the 45 second mark to give Huerter the same look.

Also, give credit to Coach Brown for putting Murray back into the game late....he wasn't having that great of a game but I think he just trusts him more in making high bball IQ plays late in the game.

His basketball IQ, passing and reads were very impressive all game. He was not making those same reads early in the year.

He went with Murray on Clarkson for the length…..the rookie has become good enough on defense to become trusted in certain matchups

Also, im not sure we win this without Mike Brown. I love Jorde but his constant substitutions were a bit much when he was leading us

I would love to see Holmes play up to his potential as we need that not only if we keep him.
But also for his trade value as I’am pretty sure our front office have some ideas on how to make us stronger in our weak spots and hopefully do not mess with the chemistry they have going.

I would like them utilize Holmes push shot in pick n roll...that's his bread and butter. Davion should do pick n roll with him.
