Essentially, only eight players that Coach Brown trusts to play will suit up tonight: Fox, Huerter, Murray, Lyles, Ellis, McLaughlin, McDermott, and Len.

I would start Ellis and move Huerter to small forward. John Collins is only 6' 9", and Lyles is the same height and about the same weight, so Lyles might be the answer at center. Small ball.

Might be the best thing that's happened then. Keegan needs a green light and he always seems to perform well against the Jazz. He's averaging 20+ vs. the Jazz in his career. Another thing that Mike Brown rarely does is look to the end of his bench and mass sit some of this main guys to make a point and/or find energy when they come out flat in a game. Well, he has to tonight.

Has Brown ever removed an established starter from a starting lineup, when healthy? He's more likely to start McLaughlin than move Huerter to the 2nd unit

Good question, but of course, Fox, Murray, and Huerter will start tonight. I was trying to color in the other two triangles on the page.

I would be irate if, as Coach Brown intimates, he starts McLaughlin over Ellis. Truly angry.

Not sure I agree with playing all our healthy forwards at the same time but this is probably our best option to have a non-terrible at offense lineup on the floor.
Makes sense. There's no one for Len to match-up with the Utah starters. Of course, there wasn't anyone for him to match up with last night without moving our All-NBA C to a different position, but hey.

Also, very much makes me appreciate these last few seasons. This starting 5 is GOD awful and it's still significantly better than a lot of teams we've trotted out over the 18 drought. Man did things get bad here.
Doug McBuckets would’ve been our big free agent signing over the offseason and starting over our disappointing lotto pick rather than an end of the rotation bench guy only starting because half of the team is out with injury.
