[Game] Kings vs. Grizzlies, 2/14/21, 7pm PST, 10pm EST

Are there anymore practice days coming up? If so I'll just bow out now, hahaha. Practice days mean offensive system checks and that means disaster. Dang, I really thought that run was the turning over of a new leaf for Walton. WRONG.

Barnes is not who we need as leadership. This team needs some dog in them. They soft. Not everything can be professional. This is men's basketball you need to have fight in you. Barnes is a role player not a leader

I don’t understand what we’re trying to do here. Are we trying to win? Did we call it?

Remember who is leading the show, Mr. Clean It Up on the Backend. Take that Luke, didn't even pull that off against a team trying to run clock for the last 4 minutes. Serves you right.

How many more games do we need to lose until Walton gets canned?

If it was really going to happen would of during our bad bad stretch. Afraid he's here for the whole season.

I'm sure some of it is economical, Vivek probably afraid of the look on coaching turnover too.

Maybe McNair has someone in mind but is going to wait until the off season.

Well the Walton presser should be interesting.

Hopefully Ham asks Walton how he is doing for amusement, out to the patio to the radio I go.

We'll see. If they keep hammering the motion stuff after having such a run running spread pick and roll then this team will buy out for good. It's a miracle they didn't buy out to begin with and a testament to either Waltons likeability as a person or the players fortitude but they've already beaten the odds. Can it happen again?

Kaytes ranting and raving at fans disappointment at what looks like another bag of fools gold

“Are they supposed to win every game?”

lol come on. We were all feeling pretty good when they lost to Philly.

It just it happens this way every time the Kings look like they are turning the corner. They come out of a seriously rough patch of games with a long road trip, LAC, Boston, Philly looking really good...then fans look at a nice two game stretch at home against teams with worse records and then they completely brick. It happened last season every time it looked like the Kings were climbing out of the gutter. It was like that in Joergers last season.

Now the team looks ways away from being good again.

No, I don’t think he actually can. It’s not just a poison pill issue.

If he had signed an extension of 4+ years of a non-rookie scale contract, that would be the case, and he could not be traded until six months after signing the extension. Since his extension was on a rookie contract different rules apply:

In the event a Rookie Scale Contract is extended pursuant to Section 7(b) above and a Team proposes to trade such Contract to another Team prior to the July 1 immediately following such extension, then, only for purposes of determining whether the acquiring Team has Room for the Contract, the Salary for the last Season of the original term of the Contract shall be deemed to equal the average of the aggregate Salaries for such Season and each Season of the extended term.

There is no six-month restriction.

I don’t think you’re right about this. If you are, yes move him ASAP.

It's one of those things where we can take 10 million back but the other team has to have room/send 30 back, right? That only sounds slightly stupider than the suggestion of trading Fox.

Also I made some tea and stopped watching halfway through the third only to come back for the final 4 minutes. Glad I did that as nothing had changed. What a difference a week makes.

Also I will just say, Bagley had been putting some effort on D in and his absence shows. He may still be in the disappointment category, but at least he is trying most nights.

And Carmichael Dave who has been defending Walton and making fun of the Walton bashers during the hot streak is doing some tap dancing. Hilarious.
