[Game] Kings vs. Clippers, 12 APR 2014, 15:30 EST, 12:30 PST

You did see Blake Griffin air ball a 3, right?
He also made one and he's actually improved his jumper a lot, he didn't try take terrible fadeaway jumpers over the most athletic 7 footer in the NBA. Cousins and Gay's shot selection today was awful just kill's chemistry,I mean who wants to play with people like that.

With Ben ejected from the game there aren't a ton of options. It's either Outlaw or a guy on a 10-day contract who can't seem to stick in the league. Not much difference there.

Yeah, that was more frustration that we have no legitimate 2 guard besides Ben but it came out as a shot at Malone. Gotta play the hand you're dealt.

This is an interesting idea, but what about at the end of games when a team has to foul so that the team in the lead doesn't run the clock out?

Oh, if you throw somebody the ball I'm not suggesting you should be foul proof. Its the running up and grabbing some random guy 30 feet from the ball that I have a problem with.

So full of nonsense are you.

Gay of course had a terrible game. Might not be healthy. Cousins struggled to carry us against one of the best frontlines in basketball..and still ended up with 32pts 12reb. Slight difference when you are being helmed by Chris Paul and set up for alley oop dunks than when you are being helped by Ray McCallum, being thrown the ball, and asked to go score on your own.

And of course, as always with Kings fans: wrong end. We scored 101. That wasn't the biggest problem.

Ray had another impressive assist/to ratio at least. 8/2 tonight.
Seems like the guy puts up a consistent 8-10 assists every night with 2 or less turnovers.

Gotta love that

Too bad most of his assists came from drop off passes to Cuz.. He can't create plays for others and he can't shoot.

He needs to work on his FG%, there is no denying that. But let's not forget this guy has just started getting meaningful NBA minutes in the last couple of weeks.

And he can't create for others but he's putting up close to 10 assists every night? That's impressive

First of all anyone can score 32 points when you touch the ball more than every other player combined and throw up close to 30 shots (that was not impressive). Cousins stopped the ball non stop and turnoved the ball over non stop.

You know why DJ gets so many lobs and easy looks cause he actually knows how to move without the ball and set screens. He doesn't stand waiting for a jumper which he has been bricking for 4 years of his career he moves to the rim and makes himself avaliable for a pass he know's what he can and can't do. You could bring in any PG to run the pick n roll it won't work cause our guys have no clue how to position themselves for easy baskets.

Btw props to Ray and Reggie for playing hard 2night and not giving up.

You have a very odd point of view. I'm guessing it's because either you do not understand what you're watching or you simply have an agenda against a few of the Kings players. Or perhaps it's a combination of both.

Give Nick Young 29 shots and he will score 32 points on a similar effiencey

Without getting to the line, he'd have to convert 16 of those 29 shots to do so. That wouldn't happen very often. And players like him aren't getting to the line as much as Cuz nor do they have to endure anywhere near the same type of physicality and contact during the game.

Furthermore, taking a single game snap shot and pretending like it represents the norm is a fundamentally flawed tactic. With only a few games left, Cuz is averaging very close to 50% shooting and is among the league leaders in FT attempts. That means his efficiency is consistently high. Throwing out names of non impactful players and stating they could accomplish the same is just silly.

This was a mediocre game for Cuz. I think most people would agree that despite the number of points, Cuz was not "on." Also, as I know you are trying to make some over riding point that Gay and Cuz are no good for us, what would a more typical Cuz game be like if he took 29 shots? I don't even remember the last time he took so many shots. I know you will have a snappy come back but save your energy. I doubt if many people take your opinions seriously. Speaking for myself, I don't.

27 shots BTW.

Can happen when you are out there with a shadow of Rudy Gay, two 37% rookies and a Reggie Evans, and yet you still really want to win.

He took 30 against Portland which was the game before this one I think, I don't mind someone taking 29 shots if they are quality shots and shots they don't brick all season. My issue is not shot quantity if DMC wants to take 50 half hooks in a game I would not say a word, it's the quality of shots Gay/Cousins/Thomas and to a lesser extent Outlaw take that annoys me.

Garbage shot selection does not win you anything combined with getting beat down the other end of the floor. The ball movement was shocking 2night as it has been most of the season and honestly it's on the same level as the Keith Smart lead offence.
