If it was for a first, yes, totally dodged. The Clippers have built themselves to what they are and they have no choice. The Kings hit reset last deadline and are stuck on a blue screen for at least this season possibly.

Watching the kids play is truly enjoyable... lots of potential and hustle here!
Maybe next game switch things up and start Keon. Let him get some easy looks playing with Sabonis, DDR and LaVine.

Yeh Nique is pretty much the only bright spot tonight. He’s at the very least a rotation player so that’s great news.

I wonder what they do next game? If Domas is out of who starts? Who is the 4? I would have like to see Dennis, Keon, Lavine, Deebo Domas in that last preseason game

The young guys looked good for the most part. Nique got comfortable again once the vets were benched. He was playing physical ball on both sides. Max and Cardwell looked pretty good together. And nope sorry, can't see how Carter isn't capable of playing PG compared to the other options. He did a good job on the draw and kick but nobody could hit the broad side of a barn tonight from 3. Jones did a good job tonight as well.

With Russ, Monk and Nique rounding out the top 8. IJ looked better tonight but he kinda seems like a 5 to me and not a 4. Personally I’d prob have him at back up 5/4 with Saric getting a small amount of minutes at the 4.

I thought Max looked pretty good as well, and IJ outshone Saric pretty handily.

We'll see. Tonight the smaller lineups looked awful but then again, if a team can't hit shots when small they're usually screwed anyway. This could end up kind of like Beam Team year 1 once teams at the deadline made jumps and what you were isn't going to cut it anymore, DeRozan played PF with the Bulls a few years back but again the league has changed there since then. Players like Chet and Flagg alone could make it a liability now when a few years ago in a league based on shooting it could work.
3rd game in and it looks like Doug is lost. Even he has almost no idea how to make this combination of players work out of the gate from the looks of it. The young guys look better partly because they kind of actually fit in terms of personnel. The nights the Kings are knocking down shots they'll compete with anyone, defense? Fool me a million times incapability is what it is.
