On the brightside Tyreke was our best guard tonight. On the downside, he was our best only because our other two guards were absolutely terrible.

The Growing pains of a young team....
this was an elite defensive bulls team that is vastly superior than ours, a contender even. our youth has not yet realized to take opportunities when they arise, like when early in the quarter the other team was in the penalty, that was the perfect opportunity to push it. tyreke's slow jog on the offense wastes time in the shot clock, we really need to up the tempo on the offense. doesnt mean we run and gun just push it deep get some backdoor cuts etc. the ball HAS TO MOVE. not from right hand to left)
Sucks that they lost but it was not a bad game. The Kings made several runs and made the Bulls earn the win. The Kings had their chances and just lost to the better team. Nothing to be too disappointed with in that.
What really frustrates and perplexes me is how the entire team can simultaneously suck at shooting free throws.
And why the heck can’t anyone make a lay up or a shot two feet from he basket?
All in all though I see enough positives to indicate that this will be a good team eventually.

It's encouraging that in spite of the fact that Jimmer is shooting a terrible percentage on threes he's still finding ways to help the team. He's just a good all around basketball player with a good basketball IQ.
The team will get better the coaches rotations were even better, its almost like the home game tonight was more important than the portland game. Unfortunately i think its safe to say that Chicago is better than the Lake show at this point in the season. We have nowhere to go but up!
Did we watch the same game? I thought the negatives far outweighed any positives.
1)The Kings should have had that game with all the foul trouble the Bulls were in. They aren't going to get a better opportunity.
2) The most selfish "me first" attitude that I have ever seen. As much as I like Thornton, if he and Reke can't get it into their skulls that it's a team game, chop and shop them for players who can. That 3v1 play by Reke was disgusting, and he should have turned it over because he traveled.
3) Westfail is an idiot. He either needs to be assertive and be coaching his team, or go. The Bulls coach was on his feet commanding the game the entire way through even when they were up by ten. I only remember a couple times I EVER saw Adelman sitting down on the bench on game time.
4) I'm sick of the "growing pains of a young team excuse". When the hell does that grow old? We've been using it for several years now.
Yes, we watched the same game. I don't know it's so hard for folks to understand this but X and Y can both experience T and come away with different impressions, evaluations, perspective, etc. It's not the case that everyone watching the same game must arrive at the same conclusions. My conclusion was that the Kings took a game that looked like a blowout early and turned it into a competitive game that they had a real chance of winning. A bad team would have gotten crushed by the Bulls tonight. The Kings are not a bad team. They have some things to fix before they'll be a good team, but they aren't a bad team. They're a team in transition and they aren't going to become elite overnight.

Sacramento needs to change its name this year to the Sacramento Black Holes. Every Kings assist is an accident. Strangely fun to watch.

The Kings are a bad team. If you have any rational or objective bone in your body, you can see they are bad. Even if they make more of their FTs tonight, you know they would botch late game possessions and lose the game.
Also, at least the disaster is getting some national attention:
We're still having trouble transitioning into defense. Bulls had a couple easy fast break points.
Also need to learn to play the fast break better. I remember 2 instances where Thornton and Tyreke were in a 2on1 fast break, and both decided to not pass and instead forced their own lay up. It went in, but its still not smart basketball. Another time, Reke has the ball in a 3on1 fastbreak with Thornton to his left and Jimmer to his right. Decides to force a fancy lay up that led to being fouled. Ended up missing both his free throws.
Lol, no offense at the phrasing of the question. I usually mean that rhetorically. I know people can have different opinions of the same game.
But how long do we call them a "team in transition"? Personally I think the "transition window" has just about closed.
The game wasn't as close as the scoreboard indicated. Whenever the kings got close. Everytime the kings got close, i would blink my eyes and the lead would be back to double digits. This team would be competitive if players or coaches understood the concept of transition defense. How many uncontested layups do they need to give up before someone figures out they should get back on defense?
