[Game] Kings vs Bulls, 12/29/11 Game Thread

Kings actually doing a good job of hanging in there against a superior team. People need to remember that the Bulls won 62 games last season.

The Bulls are probably better than they were last year too. Considering the fact that they've pretty much been firing on all cylinders and are only up by 7, I'll take it. Our guys (Except for Hayes) haven't exactly been playing that great either.

I also don't think that CJ effin Watson is going to get 6 assists in 5 minutes again like he did last quarter.

Still not really sure why we have Outlaw on our team considering the fact that so far he is playing like a less athletic, less energetic version of Donte Greene

things are better when thornton/evans get the shots on offense intead of letting salmons drive inside everytime he touches the ball
Ii think there is a point there. noy only are they are best players, but this excessive democracty we have been running confuses everybody. Its like attempts to wipe out hierarchy in any setting -- ultimately it leads to confusion. You need your best guys to be willing passers, but you don't ever want to knock them into the passive confusion of just trying to fit in while deferring to lesser players.

Kind of disagree. Evans had what... 1 assist that half the announcers said? Thornton had 0. That's pathetic. Neither Tyreke nor Thornton are anywhere EVEN CLOSE to the caliber of players to be playing that selfishly. They are guards for crying out loud. "Making plays" does not mean "do a backspin crossover between the legs driving layup on 3 defenders at once."

My only problem with Tyreke doing that, is he should know the D will collapse on him and other players and Tyreke should be recognizing it's a nice setup for an open jumper for someone or a cutting player

The complaints are mostly about the way the Kings are playing. They're lucky to be within 10 points. The issue is stuff like Salmons taking more shots than he should, the dumb moments, the sometimes functioning offense, the lack of movement on certain posessions, the transition D, and the general lack of growth.

agree

Can someone tell me what Tyreke was doing the entire first half? he looked lazy, selfish, and uninterested

He did realize that at the end of the half I think, because that's when he started gettign the ball out to MT and Cuz (who promptly pulled a JT a missed his point blank shots). Hopefully he keeps this up in the second half.

Which none of them attempted to do as far as I recall at least in the second quarter.

actually I don't feel like John Salmons is the problem right now
He is not THE problem, but I think getting him to play as the roleplayer he is it's the easiest thing we can do to improve our offense right now.

I don't think the Bulls play-by-play guy has got a single name right tonight. And we don't even have Omri anymore

Hayes needs to work on making his shot near the basket and so does DMC; DMC has got to learn to dunk that ****
